Going to the movies ALONE...

Went to go see Logan in theater, thing is it was just me by my lonesome. felt wierd as i usually go with friends or girlfriend(single now). But I wanted to see it and couldn't wait. Felt like everybody was staring at me thinking what loser would to a movie theater by themselves.

how does everybody else take this? Does it matter whether your alone or with friends/gf/bf? Or would you prefer to go alone?

I did it for Interstellar, No regrets It was awesome.

Its the reason I haven't seen Wonder Woman yet, the groups / people I unusually go with have seen it already :(

I prefer Solitary over Social life.

You are pathetic if you are more concern about what other people (people that you dont even know) might think of you instead of just doing what you want to do with your life.

I mean its not like you're about to do something stupid or illegal or harmful. Youre just going to watch a movie. Go on carry yourself like a mysterious and intriguing Alpha Lone-wolf or something. Who knows maybe you can even have some exciting encounters.

I hate going alone because there are always so many couples and I couldnt get a gf if my life depended on it. Sometimes I just can't frigging wait for my friends to be all available when I really want to watch a movie so I end up going alone or with my sister.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it but if you are the shy type like me then it kinda feels crap to go alone with so many groups and couples having fun around you lol.

I prefer going by myself. Don't care what people think.

I wouldn't put to much thought into it. If it's a movie you're into and none of your friends/family want to check it out, go to the theater get a ticket and watch it. Nine times out of 10, the people you "feel" like are staring at you could give a $#!t less about you. It's all in your head. Everyone is watching the MOVIE, and not you...if the couple of minutes when the lights are still up before previews really get to you then hang just a bit outside the entrance to the film and swing in at the last minute when the lights go down.

I've gotten tables for one at restaurants before, it's not a big deal.

@chris-sama: i got to the theater alone, it feels like that people think your a loser but its not. No one is paying attention to anything but themselves and the movie. Just enjoy yourself and if anyone has a problem than they can go f×$÷ themselves.

Who cares, youre their to see a movie. Everyone their is going to do the same thing as you. The only time their going pay attention to you, is if youre phone goes off, you chew really loud, or your one of those people who comment every 38 seconds.

I've been with my woman for 11 years.

Sometimes it's nice to go alone, since 19/20 you go together.

I probably go alone to a movie once every couple years.

Usually if I'm excited to see it, and she couldn't give a rat's a** about the flick.

There's nothing wrong going to a movie alone. I've been doing it for years and really, nobody in the theatre cares if you walk in alone, they're there to see the movie, same as you

When I was younger it bothered me, same with eating in restaurants alone. But as I have gotten older it doesn't bother me. Traveling alone for work all the time has helped with it too, but there are times when I get strange/surprised looks when I get a table for one, especially in countries where eating is considered a highly social event.

I don't see what's wrong with going alone. It isn't as if you're allowed to talk during the movie.

No, that's weird, you're weird. No one goes to the movies alone except for people trying to record and pirate the film, or active shooters, looking to show the world their pain with lead and noise. Both types of people are equally deranged. When I see someone go to the movies alone, I have to ask myself how lucky I feel. Are they pirates? Or should I keep all my organs intact today and see Minions instead? It's a hard choice, and I'm sick of you people forcing me to make that decision. If you simply cannot find/hire/kidnap someone to go to the cinema with you, at least bring a blow-up doll. That way, I'll know you're not a psychopath intent on killing me, just a sexual deviant with abandonment issues.

Who cares if you see a movie alone? People go to the movies to see just that, a movie, not to make fun of someone for seeing it by themselves.

I watch movies alone all the time. Nobody really cares. Same with going out to eat. It's whatever. I used to get weird about it, but I moved on.

I actually had a talk about this with a co-worker. She said that it's weird and creepy that I'd go by myself and that I need to find someone before I go. I thought she was joking until she looked at me straight-faced.

I don't go to the movies myself now, because I try to squeeze in the little time that I have free with my girlfriend. I would most definitely go by myself.

You care too much about what others think. They should be watching the movie, not you.

I usually wait for something to come out in Netflix or DVD to see a movie since I can't find people to go with me. Sometimes I will go alone or take my Nephew to see a movie so I can pig out on popcorn.

I feel very self conscious about sitting alone personally, I only go solo if I simply have to see a movie that I cant wait for. I prefer watching stuff at home anyway.
