So is that Arkham Knight story a dig or support for this current Gaming scandal?

From what I've seen, its just a neutral remark about hashtag activism in general (not just GG). In one hand, you have Riddler complaining about GG supporters not doing what he wants, which is to go after Batman but they refuse. In the other, its not elaborated what CrusaderGate is really about so your guess as to whether its a jab against GG or social justice warriors is as good as mine.

@lvenger: I think it is important of who was saying what in Arkham Knight. The Riddler tried to get people to oppose Batman and they collectively told him to shove it - so in one respect, it does seem pro.

Somehow, I passed up the entire affair and wasn't even aware of it until well after it happened - and that's shocking to me because my ear is constantly to the ground when it comes to gaming news and the community as a whole. I only found out a month after the fact, and since then I cannot find an unbias explanation as to what exactly happened.

Same it completely passed me by to like feburary for a game designer/gamer it confused me i saw one poast about it by pc gamer and that was it.

Gamer Gate is still alive after 12 months.

And being declared dead tons of times.

I know this post is a bit old but I will respond nonetheless.

There are three sides to Gamer-Gate. The pro-side argues that Gamer-Gate is a group of gamers that are pressing for ethical games journalism and against censorship. The anti-side argues that Gamer-Gate are a bunch of misogynistic gamers who harass women. And the neutral side is neither. Gamer-Gate refers both to the August 2014 scandal and supporters that believe ethical gaming journalism is needed, if that makes sense.

#Gamer-Gate is still ongoing; and I don't know if it'll ever end; but essentially I will argue that Gamer-Gate is not a ''harassment campaign'' as it's opponents argue, there is not a single shred of evidence that the threats can be linked to Gamer-Gate.

There are two sides of Gamer-Gate; the ''anti'' side and the ''pro'' side. Both of the above videos take the pro side, but the reason I believe the pro side is right is because they have far more evidence in their favor; whereas the opposition....does not

This scandal has affected most gaming sites, even ComicVine's sister site GiantBomb has taken an anti-Gamer Gate stance, which I disagree with but it is what it is.

It's quite hard to comprehend because it's such a mess.
