Seasons 1-4 of Game of Thrones is still a masterpiece. Peaky Blinders is great and more consistent, but sometimes the plot pulls something ridiculous out of it's ass.
Yeah I agree. I haven't watched Peaky Blinders yet (despite my brother's attempts), but I think pretty much all of TV lies on a spectrum of quality with seasons 1-4 of GoT at one end and seasons 6-8 on the other (season 5 lies in the middle somewhere).
No way, Dorne was bad, but the season was somewhat redeemed by Hardhome. Dorne didn't ruin anything else, I can more or less just forget Dorne ever happened, but seasons 6, 7 and 8 all ruined extremely important plot points that you can't ignore. Battle of the Bastards was decent (although at times total BS), but there is no redeeming episode 5, The Door, which in my opinion ruined more than the finale (although it doesn't come close to as bad as The Long Night.
@aka_aka_aka_ak: Didn't Twenty Good Men and Stannis' death occur in Season 5 though. That felt more bs than what happened in Season 6 tbh. That combined with Dorne made it a pretty terrible season for me.
