Fallout or Elder Scrolls

Batman because Arkham is better than both right now..

Fallout is the stronger series. Aside from Fallout 3, which is Bethesda's only entry, it has much better writing and characters than TES.

Have you played Daggerfall recently?

EDIT: I realized I was being a bit too critical. While Daggerfall has many things it's great for (and I'm sure it was amazing for it's time) it has some really glaring problems that prevented me from being able to enjoy it very much.

@squares: i agree, i played daggerfall a couple months back and it had so many problems, almost all the side quest are impossible to finish due to glitches and bugs, the controls are outdated, and the dungeon designs for the main dungeons are insanely huge and overly complex

@gamiz7: I've seen people play through Daggerfall (well, okay, one person, and I didn't read his LP to the end) without much apparent issue, I found playing it to be really frustrating, largely because of the reasons you listed, but also because of stuff like laws against loitering around a town after a certain time (I'd travel to a town, it'd suddenly be like 3 in the morning, and while I tried desperately to find the city gates within a minute or so I'd be arrested). I have mad respect for people who've managed to get very far in the game.

I've only played Fallout at friend and family's houses. Hoping to get into at some time, looks and sounds fun.

But until then, Elder Scrolls b/c Skyrim.

Fallout

Fallout, I just like the post-apocalyptic atmosphere, and weapons and gadgets more. I must have put at least 200+ hours into Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.

Favorite: Elderscrolls series

The stronger one is debatable man a fight between the Aldemeri Dominion and Brotherhood of Steel is going 2 be fun

Even though I went with Elder Scrolls (I just think they had more lore-wise) I have to admit to loving having Veronica as a sidekick. Her constant desire to punch everything made travelling through the wastelands so much easier.

Fallout, Elder Scrolls always had the same problems as far as I'm concerned, regardless of the iteration. They never succeeded in making me care about what's going on.

@cave_duck: There's a way for her to still be your partner and still blow up the Brotherhood. I never liked the Brotherhood honestly, especially since I'm not an energy weapons kind of guy.

But if I had to choose between Elder Scrolls or Fallout. I would go with Elder Scrolls because I didn't play Fallout ( but I do have Fallout 2 in my backlog though). So yeah. Skyrim FTW!!!!!!!!

I have a lot more memories with Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim than I do with anything in the Fallout series.

I found Fall out a bit boring. I know it's still a great game, but I think what The Elders Scrolls have done for RPG's makes it the better series. Skyrim will go down as one of the biggest games of our generation.

I literally just got skyrim a few weeks ago so my vote is slightly bias as I am loving it.

Elder Scrolls has insane lore that extends in to metaphysics and philosophy.... Fallout while cool is just your bog standard post-apoc.

If it wasn't for Skyrim then Fallout would take it

Skyrim > Fallout 3 > Fallout New Vegas > Morrowind > Oblivion

All very good games, New Vegas is better than 3 but 3 had much more of an impact as it came first, Oblivion has a terrible leveling system.

Elder Scrolls rekts although I love Fallout New Vegas

I love both but I've played the elder scrolls more and probably enjoyed it more. Both are amazing franchises though.
