Everything Wrong With Naruto

Here's where we all complain about how stupid the series went. About how terrible Sasuke's character is, about how useless Sakura is, and about how stupid the Fourth Ninja War went.

Rule is you have to mention how you're going to fix those you hate.

I think the Ten Tails itself is pretty stupid.

This won't end well. I thought the show was great, but one thing that bothered me was that it pretty much just followed the same formula that other animes tend to trap themselves in and got very repetitive.

Part 1 was near perfect...Part 2 started out fine but, IMO, Kishi dropped the ball somewhere around the first appearance of 4 tails Naruto. He picked it back up again when he shifted more focus towards Shikamaru, but then he dropped it again shortly after. From there, he was just fumbling around with the ball, never fully grasping it but always having it in hand....kind of. And the manga ended with that sort of quality....lol....It was still a favorite though.

@buttersdaman000: Personally, I think the Jinchuriiki and Uchiha wankery is how Part 2 started sucking. Hard.

Also, an arc where every ninja goes against every other dead ninja of historical significance is just... frustrating.

Sakura is one of the most useless protagonist in any source of fiction.

Exactly, IIRC, the Uchiha wank started when Sasuke "killed" Orochimaru in less than a chapter or so which was right around 4-tail Naruto, right?

Yeah, resurrecting dead ninjas didn't pay off like I imagine Kishi hoped. In fact, it either lessened dead characters (Zabuza) or invalidated the power of living characters like the Kages. Like seriously, they were supposed to be the pinnacle of ninja power, then Madara comes in and makes them look like amateurs. It's the Naruto version of what happened to human characters in DBZ when the Saiyans became more prominent lol

Lack of character development for anyone not an Uchiha or member of Team 7 really hurt for people that didn't have a main character as their favorite, and God forbid you were a fan of Neji.

Also, just because they have always been a favorite, I would have saved up Zabuza and Haku as foes.

She was a protaganist? She legit could have been a background character or swapped with any other female and been a slightly higher tier of background character.

While I agree she was pointless, the sad fact is, 90% of the females in that series were useless.

I actually liked the fillers.....just....stuff like the 3rd hokage spending 3 episodes with a sword stuck in his chest.....

I personally disliked all of Naruto, but that is just me.

I can rant all day about how bad Naruto got

-The Uchiha wank

-The Sasuke wank. Seriously there were times he got more screen time than Naruto

-Neji dying

-Tobi being revealed as Obito

-Kishi neglecting lots of characters

-Kishi wasting the opportunity he had to redeem himself with the war by giving characters development who needed it but didn't

-The Sasuke wank again

-Sasuke not dying

-Sakura being useless and Tsunade not living up to her Sannin name

-Naruto's character regression when Sasuke joined the fight

-Sasuke not staying dead

-The revelation that Madara and Obito were two separate people

-Kaguya

-The switching of villains

-The attempt to make all the villains "tragic"

Kaguya, literally take her out, and nothing would change, she was completely unnecessary and unneeded.

She only did well against Madara because she had support

Honestly the dues ex machina that was hashirama's dna still bothers me.

Then there was kaguya who could have had potential and then was defeated in such a shameful plot induced way.

It's anime, can't fix that garbage.

The only problem now with the series is the episode fillers. I want to know what happens to Naruto and Sasuke after they've been attacked by Madara (Please, no spoilers for those who've read the manga). I don't mind the fillers. But showing Naruto's friends hunting for the scrolls during the Chunin Exams? It felt so unnecessary and it keeps dragging on to the point that this hunt takes longer than I've expected. Better way that they just talked about it, rather than showing it.

As mentioned, the uchiha, Sasuke, jinchuriki wank is making Shippuden one big frustration. Sakura and Uchiha are terrible people and characters, the neglect of Rock Lee, neji, ten ten, niu, Shikamaru and choji is terrible. Every Sannin not named orochimaru was disappointing, most of the female characters being sooooo dependent on a man for everything they do was tiresome...

I'd fix a lot of the shows problems by killing off Sasuke sometime after the Pain arc and making Sakura a medical ninja that stays in the leaf village. Make. Naruto's team Sai and...idk someone who isn't Sakura.

I don't like that, I've always felt that as a Sannin she was just lacking, don't get me wrong her healing power is incredible(beneath her grandfather's though) and her strength is legendary, but I kept waiting for the one or two jutsu, that proved she was on par with Jiraya and Orochimaru, but we never got it which is disappointing because she's one of my favorite females of the series

Guy didn't die after years if hear"anyone who opens the 8 gates dies"

Neji's death was pointless

Sakura didn't die

Sakura is stupid

Sasuke is stupid

Sasuke didn't get executed

Minato became a joke

Itachi planning that he would die and be brought back by kabuto so he can use the eye he gave to naruto

Going into Shipudden -

Itachi & Orochimaru are the bad guys... oh wait no it's Pain... oh wait no its Tobi.... oh wait no its Madara.... oh wait its actually Kaguya?

Pick a bad guy!!!!!! the audience needs to see the bad guy do evil stuff! the antagonist needs to be built up as a threat! you can't just dump someone in at the end that nobody cares about and expect the battle to be engaging!

The guy put all this work into building up Orochimaru in the beginning and then did pretty much nothing with him.

The pathos villain scenes were great in the beginning but by the end they were just overdone and felt contrived, every frikkin bad guy was swayed by the same speech (and if anything it seemed to get easier and easier to change their minds).

By the end Orochimaru (and half the other characters) just came off as being psychotically fickle.

There was little to no tragedy about the war and it went on waay too long, war should be hell! not just statistics!
