@cattlebattle:
wrong Mystique. Lawrence played the one that actually didn't do a single thing but whine about being different and her foster brother not understanding how hard it is for her to fit in. absolutely nothing like Rebecca Romjin's Mystique.
and while I'm at it in this debate, there is another good example of Lawrence's lack of acting ability. She brought absolutely nothing to X-Men: First Class. Her entire performance was extremely dull.
I think that's the biggest difference between these two actresses. Stone seems to bring far more energy and playfulness to her characters and thus make them more enjoyable to watch (let's be honest, Gwen Stacey was not well developed in Amazing Spider-Man and if not for Stone's portrayal of the character we'd all be slapping our collective foreheads just like we did with Dunst's Mary Jane Watson) while Lawrence just seems to be one-noted and doesn't add to a film.
but again, didn't see Silver Lining Playbook so maybe she's improving. She got an Oscar so that's saying something (unless of course you're the only person on Earth who doesn't watch the Oscars and scratch his/her head on some of the choices that are made).
