Eliza Dushku back on the screens? with Joss again?

Hear that? It's the sound of Joss Whedon fans around the world freaking out.

Whedon's new Fox series, called Dollhouse, stars Eliza Dushku, best known as Faith to Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans. And this show isn't just a pilot. It's already been given a seven-episode commitment by Fox.

Here's how Fox describes the series:

Echo (Eliza Dushku) is a young woman who is literally everybody's fantasy. She is one of a group of men and women who can be imprinted with personality packages, including memories, skills, language—even muscle memory—for different assignments. The assignments can be romantic, adventurous, outlandish, uplifting, sexual and/or very illegal. When not imprinted with a personality package, Echo and the others are basically mind-wiped, living like children in a futuristic dorm/lab dubbed the Dollhouse, with no memory of their assignments—or of much else. The show revolves around the childlike Echo's burgeoning self-awareness, and her desire to know who she was before, a desire that begins to seep into her various imprinted personalities and puts her in danger both in the field and in the closely monitored confines of the Dollhouse.

anyone else here a last ditch effort by Joss Whedon to regain the limelight after Firefly and Serenity died so badly?

the the idea of Eliza playing 'ever mans fantasy woman' does have some merit... and possibly a long, long series of various badly dubbed porn lol

i have a bad feeling that when this dies, and it most surely will, that Eliza's promising career will be following it soon after...

Ya know, I was excited for like 5 seconds until I saw it was on FOX. Anyone remember Tru Calling? I thought it was a cool show. It even had an evil Jason Priestly. But then FOX had to ruin things and just canceled it. They have a habbit of doing that to good shows (remember a little show called Firefly?)

it had promise to be a really good show :D
