Kendrick Lamar
seriously.... Drake matured a lot over the years and became a hip hop powerhouse. He's def on top on mainstream rap.
Meek Mill is not a bad rapper, but he's immature, ignorant, a bit arrogant, and almost childish
~MiB
Drake, every category. I can actually listen to a whole album from him from start to finish. I can't listen to 60 minutes of Meek Mill yelling into my ears.
i can't believe he expose Drake like that. Shad Moss don't write his own rhymes either.
Hatin' Bow Wow for no reason.
@monsterstomp: i ain't hatin i'm just sayin.
Drizzy stomps everything.
Meek wrote his most recent own album by himself though

I don't Meek's music at all really, so it doesn't matter.
@dccomicsrule2011: But it's not really Drake's music though :D

Drake at least has Comeback Season under his belt---besides, I don't think anything has been confirmed yet. Well, to my knowledge at least.
Drizzy. I don't give a damn if Drake has ghostwriters or not, he's hardly the kind of rapper that you go to for lyrical gems or deep socio-political commentary anyway.
Meek Mill's rapping always sounds like someone punches him in the gonads every four bars.
Will admit, Amen kinda bangs though. Guess who that track features?
Drake, does it really matter if he has a ghostwriter, I personally don't think he does, but who cares.
@wolverine08: And the only song people really play on it is the song Drake is featured on
Meek is garbage he sounds the same on every song. All he talks about his hood life that he doesnt even live anymore. We have heard the same story since his first project, can he move on to something else. All he does is yell anyway. Im pretty sure Drake writes his own music, his songs are too personal and relate to his situations always. He probably just got somebody to write that one verse if anything, i mean i wouldnt waste time writing for Meeks garbage album either.
Both are terrible Drake is more of a singer, Meek just shouts. But overall Drake.
I'm very picky when it comes to rap, but I don't hate the game, just the players that can play, you dig?
@naamah_obyzouth: I dig
@spideysense44: In a way he glorifies his past but when Chinx died he was talking about how people with money should leave the hood he's always been a bit of a contradiction
@kfabz-23: Want to know who some of my favorite rappers are?
Unfortunately my favorite is dead... :(

All Time

4: Eminem
5: Andre 3K
6: Method Man
7: Biggie
8: J. Cole
9: Jay-Z
10: Big K.r.i.t
@kfabz-23: Old Dirty Bastard?
@naamah_obyzouth: he would make it to the top 20 based on Da mystery of chessboxin alone.
@kfabz-23: He's my favorite. GFK is also up there, as well as Nas. The only new school rapper you listed that I enjoy is Lupe. I am also a big Tribe Called Quest girl, so Busta Rhymes is on my list obviously, and so is Mos Def.
I can never really get into J.Cole he bores me to death. Kdot, Logic, Joey, and Schoolboy always bring the fire though best lyricist in the game. One thing i hate about my generation is that they glorify these horrible artist like Fetty Wap and just about everyone in Rich Gang. Drake, Kendrick, A$AP Rocky, and Schoolboy Q are the only mainstream artist that I actually like right now.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that you can't even name 5 songs by Meek, can you?
Drake.Meek is a lame. As Daylight said how are you goin to cll out Drake for having a ghostwriter when you signed to the fakest dude in the rap game. Rick Ross is faker then Soulja Boy which says everything
Both are terrible Drake is more of a singer, Meek just shouts. But overall Drake.
He's terrible because he shouts? So flow, lyricism, and delivery are just inconsequential to hip hop nowadays? Okay, bud. Have fun listening to Tyler the Creator.
Neither of them are that great but Drake usually produces better music.
Drakes music has longevity whereas Meek Mills produces songs that are only relevant in a modern day setting, to he's like a cultural equivalent to DMX in the early 2000s.
@solarpowered: what flow and lyrics? Same content every album and mixtape c'mon Meek isn't good. Who said anything about Tyler the Creator I already listsed the rappers I listen to Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Krit, Chance, Logic, Joey, Lupe, Dizzy, Ab-Soul, Pusha-T, Smoke DZA, Royce da 5'9 literally are all more talented than Meek. I'm not a fan of Drake at all but he's way better than Meek.

Heaven or Hell.
Traumatized.
Tony Story.
Moment 4 Life Remix
No church in the wild Remix.
Ambition.
And that's only to name a few. Remind me how he says the same things over again? Simple fact of the matter is, he doesn't. You just think he does because the songs where he raps about money and jewelry are the only ones that get popular. You're crazy if you look at an artist's mainstream songs for lyrical substance.
@solarpowered: his mixtape ain't mainstream but they're wack. J. Cole & Kendrick are lyrical but their music are mainstream, even with the song that aren't lyrical have good content.
@solarpowered: Obviously i can if i have heard them...im going to go out on a limb and say your a butthurt Meek fan.

Kendrick Lamar's most viewed songs on YouTube are Swimming Pools, Don't Kill My Vibe, and Poetic Justice; which are, ironically, his three most industrialized songs.
The first one is about drinking until you pass out, the second one is about not killing his vibe, and the third one is a love song...so how exactly are his lyrical songs mainstream again?
J. Cole's most viewed YouTube song (by far) is Work Out, which is about a one night stand.
One of his lyrics in that song is literally "Girl won't you drop that thang down to the floor. I'm here for one night how far can you go?"
....you were saying?
@solarpowered: Wrong, you're looking at Don't Kill My Vibe and Swimming Pools at a basic level, especially don't kill my vibe. The chorus of Don't kill my vibe is him humbling telling God that he's a sinner and that he's weak to Peer Pressure that links it to the tracks Art of Peer Pressure & Swimming Pools.
"Sometimes I need to be alone" talking to his girl. "I can feel your energy from two planets away" he's on earth the sun represents her negative energy. - Lyrcism if you learn the meaning of the track.
"Look inside of my soul, you can find gold maybe get rich. Look inside of your soul and you can find out it never exist" Alluding to Plato’s Myth of Metals, Kendrick calls his soul golden, segregating himself above others. Continuing the analogy between human qualities and gold, he promises growth to people who are willing to journey into his soul, or listen to his music. - Mainstream but lyrical.
Look I can carry on with this one track and Swimming Pools if you doubt Kendrick lyricism. It would be long but I'm willing.
@solarpowered: Obviously i can if i have heard them...im going to go out on a limb and say your a butthurt Meek fan.
The fact that you don't know the difference between your and you're, the fact that you even use insults such as "butthurt," and the fact that your grammar is a pain to read, drives me to the assumption that you're likely a 12 year old. Have you even been alive enough to know what actual hip-hop is?
Drizzy stomps everything.
Meek wrote his most recent own album by himself though
lol
