Im not defending 45 cuz I like him, Im defending 45 cuz I believe he is being pressed harder than he should and I see the masses want the end result no matter what happens in between - which is very shady even for a shady person.
But most of what you posted is irrelevant to the Trump investigation, and doesnt shed light on why Trump is being "pressed harder than he should". So I'm still not sure why this is all unfair or how the FBI is misusing their power. In fact, even Republicans in Congress are supporting the FBI. It's only Trump and his hard-core supporters who are casting aspersions on the FBI... but these are the same people who call everything "fake news", and everyone pretty much knows that Trump is a pathological liar. So Trump calling this investigation a witch hunt is meaningless.
And I'm sure you know as well as I do that the reason why Trump is doing all this is because he's trying to de-legitimize the FBI and the investigation, so that when they come out with their findings that he knows wont be good for him, he can then rile up his hard-core nuts to support him. This is the same thing he did during the campaign, calling it illegitimate and rigged, because he believed he was going to lose and wanted to be able to make excuses afterwards... and have enough b.s. to keep his new network going for years.
He doesn't have to try and de-legitimize the FBI. He should tweet it better much like the WH says it that there is no problem with the FBI, the problem is with its leaders. I work for the government which is constantly being beaten on the news yet most clients don't have problems with the face to face workers. They have a problem with the bureaucracy from the administration. There can be a duality.
McCabe got busted. Strzok is going to get busted. Comey formed pretty much an "inner circle" of the top of the FBI cuz they didn't like Trump. They don't have to like Trump. He is their boss though and this is where I see it with Comey - I believe he is probably an elitist. He is a lawyer who went to school, speaks well, got paid 170 thousand a year as Director of the FBI which is a big position and the man that his family despised was his boss.
Im on record on this site that I don't think Trump should have fired Comey. I said Trump had the ability to fire Comey and thus it wasn't a big deal. Post ABC interview, and hindsight is 20/20, I think now he deserved and should have been fired now. In the interview it revealed three things which in totality swing my view on Comey and the heads of the FBI:
- he only came out with the HRC info cuz he thought HRC was going to run away with the election. McCabe and Strzok thought that too per text.
- Comey's wife and 4 daughters were revealed to be big HRC backers and his wife even stated that she had many friends work for HRC.
- he withheld info from the President his boss - he stated that there was a dossier about the prostitutes but left out that it was from the DNC, and that he stated he didn't think debunking the dossier was fruitful. ie, He hated Trump. His family hated Trump. If he would have investigated the dossier could he have found out that the man he despised didn't do it? If he told Trump that the dossier was from the DNC then he knew Trump would make him investigate it. If Comey would investigated it then not only did he come out with the HRC news to cover his own butt, but any further investigation into the DNC dossier connection would tie Comey even deeper with Trump to his family and all his friends per interview.
Comey thinks Trump is scum. That is fine. Comey cannot pick and choose what information he thinks is vital cuz that makes it look political. If he didn't want to investigate DNC and look bad on his family, he should have stepped down. Comey does not dictate the morality of our nation. I believe law enforcement should not show bias in anything and as such I think the leaders of the FBI bring back the FBI to the Hoover days which was a dark age in its birth
I honestly say I have more respect for Colin Kaepernick for having conviction to do something he thought was right during his job rather than Comey who tried to ride the fence the whole entire way choosing what he wanted to do
