Exclusively on off-topic. Other forums are out of my reach as I know next to nothing about American comics, manga or anime. I've done quite a bit on the wiki, but less lately. However, I am not giving up.

ComicVine is indeed addictive but in a Good Way IMO. It's a way to utilize Social Media without all the Toxic Behavior you would see on a Twitter or Facebook or even a YouTube comment section. Not that CV has no Toxic users but it's not nearly as Bad as the Bigger Sites.

In a good way, I used to be addicted to it for the adrenaline rush of arguing, debating 10+ years ago but I've realized that it's more fun to just discuss things with people, play thread games and such. I try to sway away from it now compared to how much I used to spend on it, since it's also pointless depending on the topic etc but I find this forum imo the best one of this site just discussing random stuff not always so serious. I do wish CV had more options for the users and didn't have ads slowing it down, other days it's fine and the inbox glitches that happen several times a year but other than that. There's some cool people on here.

So for your questions.

Definitely off topic now days, sometimes General and if I'm in the mood battles.

Off topic for sure

No, although I used to work and update MK wikis years back just never on here.

I think ComicVine is not addictive but it is a very good website. The forum I spend the most time on is Off-Topic but when I was in my early twenties the forum I spent the most time on was Battles and I used to create battles but I do not do as much anymore. It is hard to say which one I prefer because Battles, Off-Topic, General Discussion all have good things about them in different ways. I think I prefer Off-Topic. I have never participated on the wiki.

I completely agree with everything you said :-)

I think the thing is that a lot of places like CV are addicting If you don't have much else going on.

When I "touch grass" I'm not really thinking about CV, Vsbattles, Spacebattles, etc.

I used to be addicted to the wiki back in the day, and the forums. This is the first time I've been back in a long time

Yes, Comicvine needs to be destroyed and forgotten so we can move on with our lives…

Closest comment to how I feel on the subject. No offense to anyone who spends a lot of time here. It can definitely be fun if you get into a lot of debates or have a lot of friends here, but despite how long I used to spend here years ago, I can only really see using this place during my downtime at work. I appreciate it for what it is.

No more than any other social media, and getting less so now that it's rarer and rarer for this site to actually be functional

I’m sure it can be addictive, but I haven’t been addicted to CV so far.

can't speak for others, but for me, it's not CV itself that's addictive, it's the thrill and paranoia that comes from debating that makes it so i keep on coming back to it.

also, battles, off-topic and no.

Not in a fun way. More like I have nothing to do so I scroll on comicvine with a sliver of hope for an interesting matchup only to be disappointed
