I don't but am looking to do some Taekwondo.
Do you have martial arts experience? If so, what?
I have a first dan BB in TKD, and I did some mixed martial arts practice on and off (that includes more tae kwon do, tang so doo, and more types of martial arts) after that, but I stopped doing it now. I'm looking into doing some other types of martial arts that hurts my head less in sparring/a martial arts with less sparring like Tai Chi, although it's hard to find a place that's close to my house.
Edit: Also I have a tad bit of wrestling/grappling(like certain BJJ techniques) experience, and some escrima stick fighting experience.
I am not sure if you are trying to get odd responses with that or what?
That is completely contradictory.
I practiced hapkido and aikijujutsu in the 80s through late 90s. Also dabbled with Aikijo (no I didn’t misspell that).
Kyokushin Karate, Taekwondo, Kung Fu (4 styles), Tai Chi Quan, and a splattering of other forms I study on the side.
Ah my mistake.
I meant to say that Japanese martial arts are garbage and Karate, Taijutsu and Aikido are the best martial arts.
@iron_tiger: Badass.
@catlike: Awesome man, wouldn't wanna mess with you lol
Seriously I did world teakwando which is the Olympics one. I was immediately promoted to blue belt because I lnew all my shotokan katas and the first form was almost identical to teakyoku shodan.
I went in two tournaments and I won the first one where you were allowed to kick the head but I lost the second one where you were only allowed to kick the body.
I left when Chinese Kempo came to town.
@ghostodoofus2: Thanks. I've been in training since I was 8, now I'm 33. Haha.
I studied Northern Shaolin Kung-Fu for 7 years (Eagle Claw) in my 20's. Was getting pretty good. Sadly, haven't practiced in a veeerrryyyy long time (over 15 years haha)....and I miss it..............
@cosmicallyaware1: I study Kung Fu, as well; Dog (my love for dogs, my own especially got me into this), Dragon, Horse (because it's very unique), and Tiger (they're my favorite animal). Haha.
@god_spawn: Are you Batman?
@spareheadone: Epic.
@mrmonster: Remind people not to get on your bad side.
@ghostodoofus2: I wish.

@billy_batson: Bruh, you're old and stuck in the past. They digitally implant martial arts knowledge and experience through a laser into your brain, now. Get with the times, my man.
My fighting style involves grabbing the nearest blunt object and wildly smacking the opponent with it.

I'm a brown belt in bjj. Pretty involved at my gym, and I teach most of the beginner bjj classes. My gym is an MMA gym, so naturally I get to train a bit of everything. We have kickboxing (which is really just muay thai), wrestling, ect. We have a karate program which I don't really attend. The instructor is nice enough, but not my cup of tea.
@spareheadone: Not yet hahaha.
