Agree :)

My sister first introduced Kpop to me. I still listen to EXO, Blackpink, Super Junior, etc.

I have no reason hating on a music genre I have almost never listened to. The same with other genre of music. There's only a handful of some NGS I like to listen to. I mostly play tracks from my favourite anime and games etc, and a few composures when working or reading. That's the kind of music I listen.

2 of my close friends are obsessed with K-pop. But I doubt they actually give a shit about the music itself. They are in it for those cute synthetic girls

Ngl I think they're all talented especially with the dancing

but

Fans can be annoying, everyone looks the same (makeup, surgery, clothes) etc Also the music itself can be tacky most of the time.

I like 1990s Kpop, I also like Psy's old stuff from the noughties but new Kpop makes my ears bleed, sorry...I can't stand new Kpop.

Oh you asked why. Well new Kpop just doesn't have as much soul and enjoyable music as 1990s Kpop, for me anyway. It is repetitive, autotuned, silly dance move, talentless rubbish. Just my view. 1990s Kpop is pleasing to my ears.

I don't hate any genre of music as a whole. I've listened to some good Kpop songs, and some that I didn't care for.

I have never listened to kpop, or watched a music video. But it seems cringy. Unless yupa gangam style is considered kpop (yes, I butchered the spelling. But everyone knows what I'm talking about)

Examples of good Kpop songs are only ones from the 90s and noughties, not the new ones. I can't remember other examples but Psy's music was better in 'Psy from the Psycho World!', his songs like 'Bird' and 'Champion' are good (although Champion's music copies the soundtrack of Beverly Hills Cop). Psy has some other good songs from the past but I can't remember them. As for his newer songs, I thought Gangnam Style looked cringy and I didn't like it at first but now I think the music is ok, it's good, but I still think the dancing is silly...but Psy is known for his messing around. 'Gentleman' and 'Hangover' is just silly, repetitive, bad quality music...it is not Psy's best. It's a shame that most people know Psy only from Gangnam Style and the later songs but I think his best work came very early on in his career like the songs in 'Psy from the Psycho World!'.

Forgot to mention the part where they added some new problems to everything wrong with American pop. My mistake.

Nope. BTS are really good. I prefer Seo Taiji, though, whom is basically Korea's version of Michael Jackson.

He was mi age...lol It is amazing that he's lasted this long, in a genre as short-sighted as Kpop is...
