@eto: Why should this be locked I wanted to promote fruitful discussion and see what people think, just because this topic is a bit controversial doesn't mean it can't be talked about
No I dont really care when/ if someone does. Assumptions are useful in society, and I have and will cont' to make them.
That said if someone went out of their way to correct my assumption about their gender identity (and they did it in a polite non-lecturing manner) then I think I would respect them enough to adhere to their wishes. What I address someone as pronoun wise doesn't really matter.
See, if you look like a man or woman I will probably think you are one. Don't get offended by it. Trans people or people who identify as something vaguely Slanneshi sounding are in such a small minority, im not going to immediately consider the possibility that you are one of them
Also, some friendly advice for people who don't identify as male or female or as trans: Don't just get triggered and make a big deal of it if somebody does it to you. Don't take it as a personal insult and freak out because it probably wasn't done out of malice. Nobody likes it when people freak out over something minor. Don't be that person. If you are polite about it even people who don't believe more than two genders exist will probably still call you whatever you want them to.
This question needs a spin. Would you get bothered if people kept assuming the wrong gender for you? So, all you boys, would you mind if everyone thought you were girls (and vice-versa)
