I go to bookstores only to relax and check out what new or cool books are there. Even some unknown ones.

I like the library for similar reasons. And to mostly check out manga titles that I might read in the future, but know that I will never get to.

Yes. It's one of my favorite places to go.

Every now in then, if I need to do something like using the internet, when it becomes a lost internet connection becomes an issue for me, so the library then becomes available to me; and, now, just recently, my nearby library was made into a voting location for the 2018 mid-term election; during the 2016 and prior elections, it was a voting/polling location that was somewhat inconvenient, as about a half mile walk.

But, the internet has so much information. Growing up in the transition period between the library and the internet, I just never really got a chance to fully utilize a library; when I probably could have fully used the library to some extent, I was in school and not mature enough to separate it from going to school and feeling that burden of routine repetition; and, when I had matured enough, I had the internet coming into full effect; and, after only a short period of time after that incident, real life stressors that prevents me from being so relaxed as to going to a library to do lots of reading and research.

You got to work in order to get some time off; you need time off to make it to a library; but, you need to work to get time off; but, you're facing blacklisting and job/employment discrimination which prevents you earning enough for time off; that's the reality of most non-whites in the US who got their education at colleges and universities; and even worse for non-whites who couldn't; it's the systemic problems in the US. If I could find someone who could actually relate, but who has time to do a lot of reading and research, while dealing with life, that person could surely coach me on time management; but, I'm also a procrastinator to the extreme, also, mainly, because I've had to experience wasting time with misinformation and scams in order to try bettering my circumstances; it starts to drain on you after a while, where I was extremely feisty and energetic, during school and right after it; but, I got some information that is decent now, I'm just getting through it; but, frustrated.

What's the point? You can get everything for free on the internet. Libraries smell bad and are full of homeless people.

I go to my college library once in a while

I live in redneckville in the Deep South, the like 10 people in the town who actually do like to read just buys the books we like.

Our library is so out of date and old it wouldn’t matter.

We also have no book store, we did for a little bit but for the 4 months it was open it sold a total of 6 books.

last week when I mentioned that my wife got me an autographed copy of The Shining, the group just looked at me and one actually said, “you mean you read like real books? People don’t really do that.”

They were shocked that I actually wanted to read a book without being forced to. The sad thing is 2 if them were ELA teachers.

Only for two reasons

1) To catch up on a series, better to order and wait for it to come when it's right nearby and for free.

2) Summer Reading.

Other than that, straight to Amazon.
