Did you have a car in high school?

I had a conversation that reminded me that my high school dating experience sucked. I didn't have a car the whole time I was in high school. It sucked, and just wondering if you know what I mean?

Of course, and most of my friends had cars, too. I should also add that none of us were anywhere close to "rich". We just lived in a spread-out area and if you wanted to go to movies it was 12 miles, the arcade was 22 miles, the grocery store was 5, etc...

I had access to a car. Not my own. Guys I dated sometimes did or didn't. Didn't make a difference except for convenience.

I drove my family's SUV when I needed to go places, but it was never my car. My brother bought a car in high school, but his had all sorts of problems, and he eventually wrecked it. I waited until after high school to buy a car.
