This should be locked for spite. Even current floyd stomps Conor senseless in a boxing match. The skill gap between them as boxers is as big as the skill gap between me and ronaldo at football.

Nate spars hard with Andre Ward every time Ward needs a south paw. Ward is P4P #1 rn. Ward obviously thinks the Diaz bros are great boxers (he's said it), why would he call in bums? That said Conor can outbox Nate easily, if Nate wasnt so tough he would have been KO'd 1000x over by Conor's pull back counters. He basically mastered the pull back in only a couple months. Conor cleaned up his boxing A LOT this year.
So no its not impossible to believe that Conor could put up a fight against Floyd of any other top boxer.
Floyd even at 40 would completely and effortlessly outbox Mcgregor the difference in skill is way to vast for this to even be compatative..Mcgregors best bet would be a cheap shot or to catch Mayweather off guard. Because he certainly has the power to really really hurt Floyd very badly.

I agree though, he would need some training and some time to focus on just boxing to take out the best of the best but I think he can do it.
Mayweather could probably TKO McGregor late. He would be severely weight-drained and isn't used to the 12 rounds, 3 minutes style of boxing. Plus his defence would get exposed badly.

Guys, Floyd's not going to lose as long as he's not coming to the ring thinking he's going up against his wife. He's the best defensive and offensive abilities of his weight and reach currently, and has been for a while, arguably.

I don't know. Floyd started at the age of 7 boxing and trained ever since. Conor started kickboixng at age 12 or 13 and trained different forms of martial arts ever since. If Conor did isolate a period of his time only on boxing, I just think he'll be a technically better boxer but will still lose to other big named boxers. Those big name boxers have been doing it purely for years and years and should outbox Conor. It's not impossible but it's just very highly unlikely.
People need to stop doing this. Connor is not going to stand a chance against Floyd in a boxing ring just like Floyd wouldn't stand a chance against Connor in the octagon.
I'm guessing Floyd would go all 12 rounds and win with a significant point difference. Or McGregor will tire in the 8th round and Floyd'll deck him. Either way I think McGregor's gonna surprise everyone.
Conor gasses by the fourth. Floyd humilates him and wins by TKO. Conor lands no more than 10 punches. Floyd and Conor make millions. Circus novelty joke of a fight.
Conor couldn't even out-box Diaz, and his cardio is very questionable. He'll fade away after losing this, without ever having defended a single championship belt.
This is a win/win for Conor. If he wins, he beat an undefeated boxer. If he loses, he can just say he's not a boxer and brush it off on a technicality. Plus, he gets paid either way.
