Comicvine Ups & Downs

Ok I woke up this morning and logged onto Comicvine, i saw that the page is rearanged in a different way.

Jumping up and down

"YYYEEEAAAHHHH!"

I checked my page and it looked preety awesome, I also checked the Forums. Im very impressed by the update, I also like these tabs in the typing column so I wont have a hard time typing in some of my RPG's

The Ups/Advantages

-The Comicvine page is really cool.
-The whole design of the pages are really detailed and awesome
-The new desplay of my site is also cool
-The typing box thingy magig is also cool

The Downs/Disadvantages

-I cant find the Meeko VS Warsman OOC/Meeko VS Warsman Thread
-My playlist is kinda messed up
-Im kinda confused at the whole update

I really appreciat what the Mods have been doing

if you are confused by the update you should check captain cascader's blogs as they explain you how to do a few things in the new site

oh and great work everyone on the Staff, this site was incredible already and even so you found a way to make it better

downs.  A  bit closer to a regular forum.  I hope this doesn't mean we can't place embed codes or pictures anymore and are forced to just go to links. 

Ups.  It looks really organized and gives me an incentive to reach 1,000 points now.  I want my minions.

Another down is that a staff member is putting stuff in the wrong forum. 

Ups.   No more figuring out the html codes for bold, italic, and underline.    

Hey Warsman, I cant find the thread were battling in.

Can someone answer that question cuz, i went to atleaset 4 pages and I still cant find it

Not really used to it for the moment. I guess I'll wander around and try out some of the newer stuff before I give my opinion.

Looks better yeah. I like how the style is.

My downs is that it has gotten a lot slower compared to before. Not alot but now it doesn't go to and error page. It kind of reminds me of youtube with the rating thingy.

Over all its good easy to navigate.

all the new features are a welcome change to the old html markdown code, and the new page designs are awesome

Looks great so far........like the chance to easily change font and such.

It'll take some getting use to. Love some of the new editions (I'm getting a minion) but not so crazy about all the...white.

I miss a lot of things, but like Gambler said it's going to take some getting used to.

BTW, does anyone know how to change the user icon?

Or upload images for that matter?

just do it as you did before...

go into your gallery, click on "add image" and then click on the icon to set it to your user icon...

not that difficult

Go to your Image Gallery. Just move your pointer over any pic in there and three icons will show up at the bottom. Click on one and follow it to your desired result.

@Methos - that's what I've been doing

right... load up your image gallery

click on the image you want

go to the bottom there should be a little heart, if you hover over that it will say "make this my user icon"

click on that and it will open a java window where you can choose the icon as your user icon and your my vine picture

Thanks a lot you two, really, but there's no Java screen coming up, Methos. The page has either "done" or "error on page" in the corner and at pretty random times.

@Gambler - there seriously are just two icons at the bottom of the image, "set as icon" and "Warsman uploaded this image", with the "set as icon" working as mentioned above.

right... note it in the "Bug Reporting" thread then for Cap to take a look at

I aint feeling what the galleries are looking like,real confusing like.The avatars are too small for me.But there are some cool things,the page is nice.

Downs: Avatars size, and the new design for profile pages/galleries. Also, I wish there was a way to access favorite characters faster.

Some of forums got deleted after the lanuch of 2.0

I've lost many RPG threads, my fault for not saving the URL, Playlist problems have nothing to with comicvine, blame project playlist for those. Sites not very confusing at all, just not at a 100% yet from what I can tell
