Capcom for sale! Who should buy them?

Well, found this out today on an MK/FGC site I visit often. Apparently, Capcom's in bad shape of late and can be bought. Question is, by who?

Nintendo? Sony? WB? Disney? Some folks have said if Nintendo buys them that could help Nintendo out a lot, others say if WB does we can finally see the dream MK X SF game we've wanted since the damn 90's, some want Sony. What do you think guys?

I think Sony may be the best fit. Capcom is still pretty popular in Japan and Sony already has a solid foothold there with the PS3 and PS4.

Not a very big fan of Capcom so i'd be fine with anyone who could help them do better stories.

Funny you mention this, month ago I was discussing the DLC and 100 SSFIV versions as Capcom seems to be the greediest with that stuff then this happens lol.

So in a sense I'm not surprised. This reminds me 7 years ago or so similar to Midway when literally MK was the only thing keeping them alive, til WB bought the rights to MK. Capcom it seems SF fighters have really been the only big game for them past few years when you think about it. Curious to see who buys them. I can imagine if an American company gets them the uproar. I will find it ironic if WB or Disney gets them though in a sense.

I just really want to see either WB or Disney get them in a way if not Nintendo, because I want an MK vs. SF game!!! lol

It the Marvel Universe the only thing that crashes and burns are helicarriers, and Costco has a sale on those. That's why S.H.E.I.L.D can afford them :P

I hope nintendo. It could give them the edge by getting even more exclusives for them. I can also see Nintendo having capcom revitalize classic franchises like megaman and such which would please the fans. Nintendo and capcom use to have a strong partnership way back when and it would be good to ser that again.

The tricky thing is would nintendo do it. They have the money despite what others think, in fact they have enough money to live untill atleast 2050 I believe. They aren't making a strong profit right now though, and they may not want to buy another company(and its debt) when they aren't making as much as they would like. However if they were to do it and utilize the franchises right it could be a worthy investment.

lol not sure how we got to Superman/Batman, but that's going to rock.

Anyway,@shadowx good point. I'm pushing for either Nintendo or WB to get the rights.

I want Sony to get this. It would be wise for Nintendo to get them, but I don't want to see them get Capcom. They'd probably make Capcom into rated E for everyone.

My heart says Warner Bros (Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter FINALLY!!!), but my brain says Disney. Lets face it, WB wouldn't use them right..... if at all

YES!! Then we can get like an Avengers Resident Evil live action crossover! We can get blockbuster actors like Chris Evans, RDJ, and Mila Jahovavitch..Javovovitch.....Alice in slow motion, 3D, over the top battles with zombie chitauri beings.

It would be so bad, but I would totally pay to see a clusterf*ck of that magnitude.

No. I will buy CAPCOM if I have the money and slave drive them to create a good Breath of Fire installment. Those bastards ruin it in the PS2 BOF.

Eh, it was ok. But IMO if Capcom had access to DC characters, it'd be a smash hit. Blow Injustice out of the water.

@ _atomikill: eh i dont know, all capcom games are too similiar. I like nrs's take on it better. Injustice was a smash hit, still has tourneys played today, has mobile versions and a hit comic. Hard to argue with that, no offense to capcom but I did not see mvc spawn all that. But to each his own.
