Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny are among the two most recognizable and well known cartoon characters ever created. Both have captivated millions and are the faces of their respective brands (Disney and Warner Bros.). However, who is MORE popular?

Here's how I see it. Mickey is more recognized solely due to Disney being all powerful and thus whoring him out as their mascot. They can afford to put him on tee shirts, toys, mugs, billboards, posters, whatever.

However, Bugs is far more likable simply because he has a personality. Mickey is an everyman character, he's not too nice, not too mean, and really..nothing at all, that way the audience can reflect their own personality on him. Bugs on the other hand is wise crackin, he's wacky, he's mischievous, he's a cross dresser, he has a great personality. Mickey may have been the first, but Bugs (imo) is the best.

Mickey mouse has pushed the Disney for years brand has made more money and still gets shows and such on Disney. So popularity goes to him,pop culture I would say him too but I'm not so sure because "What's up doc" was huge.

Neither is Mickey Mouse since the 90s Mario is more popular and a better known icon.

Bugs since he has been in more stuff recently and I can't remember the last time I saw Mickey and something.

Comparing Mickey Mouse & Bugs Bunny is like comparing Mario & Sonic. Mario may be more popular but Sonic is more likable, and in this case:

Mickey Mouse>Bugs Bunny when it counts on popularity. Mickey Mouse<Bugs Bunny when it counts on personality.

Mickey’s obviously more popular and recognisable. Buggs is more likeable to me because I appreciate witticisms and his laid back nature.

In terms of who’s funnier, well Buggs wins here again unless we’re using all media for both characters, in which case, South Park Mickey is funnier than Buggs.

I can’t pick between the two, however I will say that I prefer both ducks over this pair of rodents.
