I think Brad Pitt is a little better.

They're a tie. They're both good but they both have been in bad movies.

Bale's consistently better,but Fight Club Brad Pitt beats almost every other performance Bale has had.

I never considered Brad Pitt an especially good actor.

Both are very good actors, but Bale takes this by a solid margin.

Both are great.

Bale however seems to try too hard sometimes. Pitt's acting prowess gets overlooked due to his looks but he's a terrific actor

Actually pretty close. Both have some standout performances, but I have to go with Bale. His versatility is nuts.
