Better Film: Memento(2000) or Sicario(2015)?
Oh, f-
Well, Memento is clearly the bolder one structurally speaking, has some good comedy in it, is more overtly emotional (the majority of emotions involved in Sicario are just "I feel dead inside") and probably had the best quotes, so I'll pick that one.
Sicario is one hell of a movie, though. I give both solid 9/10.
Memento stomps in a mismatch. Memento felt more innovative, believable, exciting, better acted, and had a much more powerful ending. I liked Sicario, but for whatever reason, it didn't 'click' with me the way Memento did. Probably partially because I couldn't get over the plot holes in the movie.
@chaoselement: In what way? Him and Dennis Villeneuve are the two most mentioned directors here.

Well, if some people think this is debatable or for example; Man of Steel vs Rises is debatable....:
Villenueve is a good director.

I honestly don't know how comparing movies disrespects a director literary but whatever floats your boat I guess for Nolan and MCU.

Because they're mismatches. For example i have seen The Wolf Of Wall Street vs Civil War and as much as i like Civil War, TWOWS is just 10x better overall.

I just mentioned "literary". Mismatches or Not Mistmatches, they don't literary or exactiously defines disrespect. You point is moot.

How is my point wrong?

When did I say it was wrong? I said it hypothetical or no relevance towards the topic in hand.
