I like Arrival but I have to go Matrix on this one.

Arrival is good but Matrix is legendary.

Those are very different movies tho.

The Matrix is a much better film, but that damn movie made everything for the next ten years throw in a stop camera swing.

The Matrix is a very good (and important) movie, but IMO Arrival is better. I think it's more interesting and unique, and more thoughtful, which I think is important for proper sci-fi.

@wolverinebatmanftw: I think the acting and the emotional depth is far better than Matrix but the concept of Matrix is just so cool. I hope they do explore that in Matrix 4.

I remember some cool bits and pieces from Reloaded but I don't like a lot of that movie, and Revolutions was just boring and forgettable AF.

@wolverinebatmanftw: I mean they screwed a lot of opportunity with sequels and it was kinda a mess but I do hope they have learned from their previous mistakes and make a better film.

The Matrix, even with me liking Reloaded more, is better than Arrival.

What are your thoughts about Matrix and its sequels? How do you think they end up being generic or letdown after it's the first installment?

20 years later and The Matrix and its themes are more relevant now than ever, it’s crazy

Kind of torn in this one tbh. I like both movies but I suppose I agree that Matrix is the most iconic out of the two. Do think that Arrival is better as a movie but Matrix is more fun on top of being a good movie as well.

Arrival is more thought provoking in my opinion
