Better actor: James McAvoy or Emma Stone?

James McAvoy. I think his performance in Split surpasses Emma's in La La Land.

Emma Stone is a solid actor but James McAvoy and it's no where near close.

McAvoy. Emma is good, but James is great.

Both are good, James is better for now.

Emma Stone because she's a female and females need to be equal plus a bit more

James McAvoy has at least as much depth as Emma Stone and much more proven versatility.

Stone isn't bad, but McAvoy is hugely better.

I don't think we've seen the best Stone has to offer just yet. Maniac was pretty close though.

Emma Stone is pretty great, but as everyone else has pointed out. James McAvoy is phenomenally talented. He has some pretty breakthrough performances, with his role in Split and Glass being top tier acting.
