Silver Age or Pre/Post-Crisis version: Christopher Reeve

New52/Modern day version: Henry Cavill

Christopher Reeve was spot-on as the Silver-Age Superman.

I guess reeve was the best actor.

Others look more the part.

Who here actually remembers Dean Cain in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman? A little gem that seems to have gone by the wayside as time went on. Probably an underrated representation; similar to how I feel Routhe is also criminally underrated in the remake, but it is clear he is overshadowed by Reeves, since it is the same continuity.

In the end, I would have to pick Reeves here. He practically defined the character. Everyone since then, has been trying to imitate that to some degree, short of the DCEU, which did a complete 180 on who Superman is even supposed to be... Which is a bad take.
