What does Lucius mean when he says "When I'm asked I don't have to lie"?

@frozezone: It meant that Wayne doesn't have to tell Fox what he's doing, so in the event of suspicions arising about Wayne he doesn't have to lie and say he doesn't know or make up excuses for him.

He can just say he doesn't know.

That way he's safe and he can't out Wayne

Lucius means that when Bruce asks him for stuff from the R n D department, Lucius won't have to lie to Bruce about it being there to protect Bruce from doing dangerous stuff. ??
