@thedailybagel: I personally haven't seen it, I just have all the games and all the books except those written by Karen Traviss because she can't write Halo. Are you going to get the master chief collection?
@thedailybagel: The books are quite exceptional and really give some back story on Reach, the Spartan program, and Chief himself. If you do decide to start reading them, than you should get Fall of Reach by Eric Nylund followed by the Flood, then First Strike, Harvest (mediocre but provides history on how humans first met the Covenant), Ghosts of Onyx is undoubtedly the most mysterious of them all and provides some insight into the forerunners and has some great action sequences.
@eisenfauste: thanks :) are there any that have great hand 2 hand or just insane bad @ss moments? I enjoy the story but I also enjoy great action scenes as well. What would you say is the best?
@eisenfauste: It's amazing what people can do with computers, isn't it? They should just make a movie doing stuff like that.... I wouldn't be able to stop watching it.
@thedailybagel: Lots of bad@ss moments some great h2h battles. There are a veritable plethora of space battles in Fall of Reach and some great one's in First Strike. You get to see other spartans besides Chief doing some really awesome things, and on top of loads of action each story has a great plot and dialogue as well as some nice character building. Personally I enjoy Fall of Reach the most because of the titanic space battles that revolve around some planets. As well as the book has some decent and sweet ground battles. I would have to say Headhunters is my favorite Halo short story to date though if you are looking for some nice h2h and spartan's being bad@ss then thats the story you need to read, I think its in Halo Legends Volume I if I recall.
@The_Deathstroker: If they ever make a real major motion picture I would literally sell an arm just to see it. There are so many short T.V. spots like ODST: Helljumpers live action trailer, Fall of Reach live action trailer, as well as Halo 4 cinematics that really show the amazing potential that this series could have on the big screen. I hope someone picks up the task soon I really do.

From a competitive multiplayer standpoint Halo 3 and Reach were pretty good. Never played 2, and 4 was pretty bad.
My problem with Halo isn't necessarily the game, it's the majority of the players. You get into a gunfight with someone, the second he loses the advantage he starts jumping and chucking grenades. Jetpacks added to the mix makes things even worse. Too many copout tactics that take away from skilled gunfight. I prefer the Battlefield series, BF3 being the best of that IMO. Not to take anything away from Halo though, it's a good game in its own right, I just prefer a different type of combat.
@thedailybagel: I saw that, I loved Forward Unto Dawn and ridley scott is directing it so it should be pretty good. I just hope with enough hype from these mini series a movie is produced.
