An 800lb Liger VS. An 800lb Pizzly

massive Cat ftw
I'm somewhat inclined to agree. The only reason a Grizzly or Polar Bear would stomp the shit out of a pure breed big cat is because they're much bigger but in this case an average Liger is actually slightly larger than an average Pizzly or Golar Bear.
@oopsislipped: the liger is bigger than the tiger and lion though by a lot, so why wouldn’t the bear hybrid be bigger than both bears?

I don't know they're just not they're somewhere in between the two.
The bear is in way better shape. Ligers are usually obese, especially this one. Pizzly bear curbstomps
You may be right on that since all Ligers are breed in captivity. Unless a Male Asiatic Lion ever knocked up a Female Bengal Tiger but I don't think there has ever been a single confirmed case of that ever happening in the wild.
Can you post source for pizzlies on average being smaller? They are unbelievably uncommon.
They're just known to be bigger than Grizzlies but smaller than Polar Bears.
I've checked multiple sources & each one is giving me wildly different numbers. That's why I just settled on them both being 800lb which is well within they're ranges.
We know Hercules the Liger was over 900lbs but I can't seem to find the actual size & weight of any Golar Bear despite 3 having been shot & a hand full having been breed in captivity.
@oopsislipped: So, can you post any sources? Or are we just taking your word for it?

I guess I can if it's impossible for you to use goggle.
@oopsislipped: if you’d be so kind, since that is kinda how it works here. I did a really quick search and found nothing about size, and don’t have the time to dig deeper on it. Since you readily know of several sources it shouldn’t take you but a moment.

This seems to be the best I can come up with:
