He's a genetically engineered slave from a dystopian netherworld, has unique luck powers reliant on karma, became a revolutionary against said dystopia, escaped to Earth, then joined the X-Men and has been close to mutantkind despite not actually being a mutant himself (allowing for unique scenarios to play out). Sadly, Marvel often doesn't really know what to do with him much of the time.

Upgrading a characters' powers doesn't make them more interesting, and in fact it can have the opposite effect. A good example is Mockingbird, who was more interesting as a badass normal and Hawkeye's wife than some dime a dozen super soldier agent.

Is it's true that New New Warriors, as well as the rest of Outlawed, COTA, America Chavez: Made in the USA and some other lesser titles really have gotten cancelled after everything that happen, it might be a good sign that common sense is finally prevailing somewhere in Marvel Comics and we should hope it continues.

Marvel should soft reboot, do a DC Rebirth style line relaunch. Not a full-on continuity reboot like how DC does before, but a return to the pre-2012 style and status quo, bringing back everything fans like about Marvel Comics and getting away from decisions that led to shit like Safespace and Snowflake.
