A progressive deputy is assassinated in a Mediterranean country. The investigating judge in charge of the investigation highlights, in this crime, the participation of the army and the police.
The masterpiece of Costa-Gavras. Both a well-directed thriller, both an intelligently written detective film, and above all a sumptuous conclusion that freezes the blood and brings us back to the cold reality of our world.

A suburb of Orange County, California in 2013. America's endless and futile fight against drugs is now intertwined with its war on terrorism. Cops Bob Arctor, a reluctant specialist in undercover missions, is forced to play mole with his friends Jim Barris, Ernie Luckman, Donna Hawthorne and Charles Freck. When he receives the order to spy on himself, Arctor begins an inexorable descent into absurdity and paranoia, where loyalties and identities become inscrutable.
Adapted from the dark and delirious work by Phillip K. Dick, Richard Linklater's film brilliantly stages a psychological drama in a future with paranoid and schizophrenic tendencies.
