@k4tzm4n: i just thought it was very Entertaining movie, despite its flaws.
1. War for the planet of the apes
2. Get out
3. Spider-Man Homecoming
4. Split
5. Logan
I'm glad I'm not the only one who recognized just how brilliant War for the Planet of the Apes was. I mean, I'm not trying to insult anyone who didn't like it (to each their own I guess) but seriously, War for the Planet of the Apes was in every way phenomenal. I never thought that a movie about talking apes could be so emotional and so deep.
@mrmonster: I loved it and I'm glad we got a somewhat happy ending for the Apes and I found that all of them managed to be super deep and emotional, I'm always on the side of the animals in these sorts of films too lol
1. Logan
2. War of the Planet of the Apes
3. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2- Just saw it on Netflix.
Really looking forward to seeing the Disaster Artist in the future.
@thorthunder98: Same. Even though Ceasar's probably died off screen, soon after the end of the movie, I think the ending was more happy than sad. He led his people to a better life; was basically the ape equivalent of Moses. To this day I cannot stop thinking about the "What have I done?" moment.
Honestly, I think War for the Planet of the Apes should be a best picture nominee. I doubt it will be, but I think it should be.
@mrmonster: Yea, like Ceasar dying was very sad but he had completed basically his life mission to save all the Apes and give them a good life which made it a happy ending for them in the end. When they killed his wife and Son it pissed me off so much it really got to me.
Yea I doubt a film like that would be nominated tbh
@mrmonster: Yup, every film in the apes trilogy is a masterpiece imo, just a beautiful set of films.
1. War for the planet of the apes
2. Get out
3. Spider-Man Homecoming
4. Split
5. Logan

I liked the movie a lot but I didn't walk away thinking it was better than Dawn. I need to watch it again, though.
In no order:
- Kingsman: The Golden Circle
- Thor: Ragnarok
- Logan
- Kong: Skull Island
- Wonder
Honorable Mentions: American Assassin, Hitman’s Bodyguard, Wonder Woman
Haven’t seen: Star Wars: The Last Jedi
It, War for the Planet of the Apes, Dunkirk.
Also, didn't Split come out in 2016? A good movie though. EDIT: never mind it was 2017.
Wonder Woman
Your Name
Star Wars Eps. 8 The Last Jedi
Dunkirk
Logan
There are still a number of movies I want to see in 2017, so this list will likely change.
1. Logan... easily the best movie of 2017
2. Thor Rags
3. War for Planet of The Apes
4. Blade Runner 2049
5. Happy Death Day (i know i know but i liked it... sue me)
Last Jedi
Guardians of the Galaxy
Justice league
Thor
Jumanji (already decided I am going to like the film)
2017 was an absolutely terrible year for film.
Really? Why?
I didn't really watch movies so much this year and a lot of the movies that I've been anticipating turned out to be really bad (like Justice League for example).
1. Get Out - Is this even questionable?
2. Logan - The best comic book based movie to come out this year.
3. The Last Jedi - Watched it recently and had a blast. "Lived up to the hype" is an understatement.
4. Dunkirk - Can't remember any flaws or complaints I have for this one
5. War for the Planet of the Apes - Anytime a trilogy is fantastic from beginning to end it deserves recognition.
Honorable mentions - Lady Bird, Coco, Baby driver, I Am Not Your Negro, The Big Sick
