Although it's not going to be out until this fall, there's now a behind the scenes feature online about DC's next animated film, Justice League: Throne of Atlantis. In it, you'll get to see what that characters will look like in this film and get some short scenes from the upcoming film, as well as its connection to the current run on AQUAMAN. Check out the video below.

why does dc continue with this anime-ish style?!?! it's not good. and starkiller is awesome.
I think it goes back to the whole shared universe direction that their going with.
@micah: it just doesn't feel right. it's an american movie. it's really close to those awful marvel animes.
At first I was really excited to hear that they were adapting this storyline, but I really hate the animation style. I like the casting of Sam Witwer and Nathan Fillion though.

I gotta disagree with you there, mon ami. DC Animated movies are actually well done and enjoyable to watch (by contrast)!
@i_dont_like_comics: I've never gotten this it looks like "anime" comment. That dosen't look like the anime I've seen. Sure it is probably produced in Taiwan or Korea (like most Anime) the art style looks like an extension of the Superman:TAS and Young Jsutice art style with a bit softer lighting.
With all this talk of it being an Aquaman ft. the Justice League movie hopefully Corson manages to set a good emotional foundation for the featre like Flashpoint did. Too many of these features don't do this basic aspect of storytelling imo.
Man, Can't Wait. DC animation rules!!! WOOOOOO AQUAMAN!!!!!!!!
Why do people hate the animation? There's nothing wrong. It's just fine.

I liked it in Flashpoint and Assault on Arkham, but your right I don't want it to be the default style for all of them. And hey the Marvel Animes were pretty good. I enjoyed the Blade, Iron Man, and X-Men ones. They genuinely were legit animes.

Arkham doesn't look like these though. I would say everything since Flashpoint not including arkham have a similar look that I don't find very appealing.
Still upset that we don't get some of the normal VAs for certain rolls, but I'm looking forward to Lanter and Witwer and what they bring to their characters in this movie.
This'll be the first movie since Flashpoint that I haven't skipped because of crappy story-lines or character representations.
This looks good, please don't mess this up DC, please :(
Also, this new voice case sounds fantastic!! Granted Aquaman sounds younger than I anticipated but hey, if The Clone Wars taught me anything it's that Matt Lanter is a good voice actor if given good material. And anything with Sam Witwer in it I'm pumped for!
I was interested in an Aquaman movie, but not with the Justice League from JL: War. What an unlikeable group of characters they were in that film. Now we have to deal with the Superman/Wonder Woman fan fiction in an Aquaman movie... great.
I haven't seen Assault on Arkham yet but I wasn't too thrilled with Justice League: War or Son of Batman so I am really hoping they knock it out of the park with this one. DC animation is still good but it is hard not to compare the current movies to what we got in the past. Imo, the current direction doesn't compare favorably.

Yeah Arkham did look different. Great movie by the way.
Sigh..... I was really hoping Captain Marvel wouldn't be in this. Also, dissapointed they couldn't get Shemar Moore for Cyborg :(
Other then that looks great.
Hoping this is awesome. Looks like it's going to be like Flashpoint in that there will be a central character but it's still very much a JL film.

It's a touch disappointing to see the Orm, rather than Vulko, will launch the attack against his own people. I really liked that you could sympathize with Orm in the original comic. Here, it seems he's just being reduced to typical villain status rather than angry monarch protecting his people.
The animation is okay. The faces all look pretty bland (especially for female characters) and I really don't like a lot of the costume designs. But Arthur looks pretty good. I really like him with the five-o'clock shadow. In costume, he looks okay. Not bad, but could be better.
Voice acting seems pretty good. I'm SO VERY VERY glad that we're not being forced to see all of the same actors from JL:War. Fillion is the perfect Hal Jordan, so it's great we'll be getting him. Superman's actor sounds spot-on, and Barry and Arthur both sound pretty great as well. Still a bit iffy on Shazam and Batman, but neither are bad choices, per se.
I'm glad that we'll be getting something of an origin story for Arthur. It'll add a new dimension to the film, and has the potential to really feel like an epic rather than a one-shot war story. I'm also liking that the movie seems like it'll be more character-based than action-based (unlike other recent DC movies).
I'm not sure I agree that Arthur is a "sarcastic" and "angry" character. Lost and semi-brooding? Definitely. But I don't think he's a joke-cracking, mad-at-the-world kind of guy. Just after his dad dies, sure. But not in present time. But I'm willing to give it a shot. I really love Aquaman, and I hope they do him justice.
do dc and marvel realize that most of their core followers are not anime/manga fans? im really starting to dislike the animation movies on both sides
OKAY IF WE COULD ALL STOP THE ENDLESS BITCHING FOR FIVE FREAKING SECONDS, THAT WOULD BE JUST GREAT!God, you people are all so emotionally draining I just can't stand it!
I mean, DC is kicking ass in live-action TV, just go watch that if you're all gonna gripe. It's AN AQUAMAN ORIGIN MOVIE!!! What more could you want?
6:46 Oh, don't worry Clark. You'll meet plenty from your world someday.
DC's animated films are always good. But the art lately has sucked.
Flashpoint, assault on arkham, now this.
Stop this art direction. Its horrible.
why can bats get solo films but everyone else have to have the justice league (most annoyingly bats) in them?? sigh
Yeah, it sucks. Especially for fans of characters like Hawkman or Firestorm, who we know will never get anything.
I loved the Throne of Atlantis story and I'll certainly give this movie a shot. But my expectations with DC's animated features are pretty low after Flashpoint Paradox.
The Voice Actors look good enough to do a film adaptation!!!!!
Funny story, Shemar Moore who voiced Cyborg in the last film actually wanted to play Cyborg in live action. Also it's no secret fans have been wanting Nathan Fillion to play GL for years.
@i_dont_like_comics: it's the same animation style as young justice
