@lifeofvibe: Would you like Judd Winick to write a Jason solo?
I would
@daredevil21134: of course i would want him to write jason again, dont know why he wouldnt thought...
@lifeofvibe: @darktiger: It would be nice

Secret Origins
Anf all of that happened in 6 months.
52 logic.
lol
anyone noticed that Jason has the bat symbol on his chest, even though he didn't get it until he met starfire.
Dat whitewash. Also, what was the point of this in Secret Origins, it just told us what we already knew about Jason (though admittedly with better art).
Someone should tell Jason that him beating up Batman was his finest moment and that he isn't an outlaw anymore and if he wants to continue to be called as one, he should work on it.

Yup,writers need to do their research lol

LOL!! So true.I can't believe he said i'm sorry Batman before he died.Man they're making him soft
i for one am liking the way things are going with jason right now, i think i'll pass on the "let's make him another punisher" bandwagon
Now that I've both seen the movie and read the comic for Under the Red Hood... does anyone else like the movie more?

I don't want him to be a Punisher clone but I also don't want him as a meaner version of Nightwing.Jason is working with Batman a little too much lately. One time he was even shooting people in the leg terminator style, that's what happens when he works with Batman,he looses part of his appeal.Jason whole deal is he lost faith in Batman's system, and rightfully so,he doesn't believe it's effective enough to make a difference because guys like The Joker get locked away and come out just to kill again and again.,And why is every vigilante that uses guns and kills have to compared to the Punisher?Jason is way different than Frank.

I thought they both were awesome but I could have done without the crossovers in the comics

I understand what you mean - it felt like there were more characters than were necessary in the comic.

meaner version of nightwing? i dont even.... no comment
the initial fallout between him and bats was great and i love utrh as much as the next guy, but you cant keep him in that direction because it's a dead end.
a dc would never let him kill off a big gotham rougue.
b killing off fodder villians can and has gotten old.
c having him work with bats while not being on working terms stops making sense after the third time. if they have such different views either keep jason out of gotham or have them work together through some type of compromise. dc chose the latter and it wouldn't be the first bats worked with a killer(huntress anyone?)
i make the comparison with punisher because the same thing happened, eventially frank was written into a dead end now marvel is doing the same thing by actually moving him forward. jason can kill and use guns, but he needs some form of diplomacy and maturity. him being batmans biggest failure shouldn't be the only thing to write home
Who doesn't love Jason Todd, he's such an underrated character who isn't even at his peak potential. Does anybody know which comic it is when he is about to kill Batman in a similar fashion as the Arkham Knight was?

Huntress had stopped killing for a very long time. She too had got soft when she joined the Birds of Prey.I'm not asking for him to go around shooting everything that moves, but part of his appeal to me is that he drops bad people,it doesn't have to be in Gotham,he can kill baddies in his own series if DC gave him one.I don't mind them working together occasionally but I rather him be on his own and out of Gotham.I personally never found Frank Castle getting stale at all.And Batman always kept Huntress at a distance until she had finally shaped up.

he hasn't exactly stopped dropping bad people in the new 52 though, and even then bats has been more leniant on his methods then huntress. as long as jason is a member of the bat family, he will have to interact with batman at some point. i'd rather it be civil, albeit kept to a minimum, then a retread of the 6 years of whiney jason

I agree with that.I'm not against them teaming up.But he's doing it too much. He's in Batman Eternal and he's in Batman and Robin,he was briefly in Batman Inc and then he helped in Court of Owls even though that was more about helping Tim I believe and then he was in death of the family.I think that's a little too much.Nightwing and Robin had their own solo's to grow as characters,I believe Jason should have the same chance
[super tired post incoming] One of the questions that I always ask people who love the new 52 Jason (especially those who love RHATO Jason) is what has justified his resurrection so far in the new 52. It's important to keep in mind that his death sent ripples throughout the entire DCU, so bringing him back would make his death less impactful. So if you're going to bring him back, it better be worth our time and the resurrection Jason needs to bring a hell of a lot to the table.
Making him blend into the Batfamily by turning him into another hero makes him worth less as an individual character than he would be if he was an anti-villain because at least as an anti-villain (or even a really dark anti-hero) he sticks out from the rest of the members and contribute something to the DCU that the other Robins can't. Also, if you want after several years, you can have him make that transition from villain to hero. While people might think that the "Punisher" route might be a dead end for him, he is already at a dead end because he has made the transition from anti-villain (which was really brief) to anti-hero (which was also very brief) to hero. His journey as a character is for the most part complete so now he's just another face in the crowd running around, albeit one with a cool helmet.
@lifeofvibe: Would you like Judd Winick to write a Jason solo?
That would kinda be a step backwards in characterization though. To go from Rage filled teen, to "Heart of Love" Jason, and back to angry vigilante?

I liked the way Judd Winick wrote him in Lost Days and Outsiders. It wasn't just all I hate and Batman this and I hate Batman that.I think DC needs just to find a happy middle for him

I get what you're saying but he has too many fans at this point to make him an anti villain.Making him an anti might just turn his fans off lol
@daredevil21134: That's why I said way back when (like a few days ago) that I'd settle for him being a really dark anti-hero, because if you're going to have Jason make the transition into a hero, at least have him be a dark enough character and have him that way long enough for it to really mean something.
Though I will say the Jason Todd fanbase often have conflicting desires regarding the character because there are some that want him as a hero (but still called an Outlaw smh) but they are the same people that are part of the group that want him in the Suicide Squad, which are two different directions. So I don't know how much they'll mind, especially if as an anti-villain he has sex with Harley Quinn, I guarantee you the fans will stick around.

I guess that makes sense. I guess I have just grown accustomed to his New 52 attitude.

I have too but I think they're making him too much of a Batman solduer
anyone want to see Jason Ditch the red hood mantle, move to a random city and dawn the Red X mantle ?
anyone want to see Jason Ditch the red hood mantle, move to a random city and dawn the Red X mantle ?
I guess I wouldn't mind it..........but I rather have him be Arkham Knight lol
@daredevil21134: i thought about that too but that would just restrict more to gotham.

that is true
All this arguing and nothing ain't ever going to change...
AS ALWAYS F*CK YOU DC...
lol
Red x was pretty popular in the day, all they would need is a good creative team and they would sell comics like hotcakes.
Just gonna toss this in here but how about a Jason/Tim book. I think it would be super interesting considering that rumor about Jeff Lemire writing a Robins book turned out untrue
@midnightdragon18: Why do you want him to use Red X instead of Red Hood? How do you see that benefiting Jason?
Just gonna toss this in here but how about a Jason/Tim book. I think it would be super interesting considering that rumor about Jeff Lemire writing a Robins book turned out untrue
I think it could be cool but I rather have Jeff Lemire do a Jason Todd solo lol
@daredevil21134: it kind of seems what everyone wants.
everyone wants jason to take a break from the outlaws/batfamily and become dark anti hero.
With the new red x mantle if he kept is identity a secret he could take a break from them, and red x had that anti hero vibe about him.
@daredevil21134: both of then in a book could make for some great stories, IMHO. The way I see it, Tim can be Jason's humanity and Jason could show Tim that he doesn't always have to be so goody goody. Of course they'd probably fight every now and again but it would bring them closer
anyone noticed that Jason has the bat symbol on his chest, even though he didn't get it until he met starfire.
Yup,writers need to do their research lol

Anyone else remember his reaction to his impeding death in the under the hood movie?! He tries to unlock the door, and stops to rest for a minute...and that's when he hears the clock counting down. At first he stares at it in surprise, but then he just acknowledges it with a cold acceptance...That was awesome.
I actually like Red Hood and the Outlaws for the most part, but i'm definitely ready to see Jason on his own again.

As dark as Jason has been he's always had an awesome sense of humor .I'm not saying I want him to have a solo and have his personal tormented.I'm just tired of seeing him with Kory and Roy or Batman.I want him to have his moment to shine.I think his personality in the New 52 is fine though.I wouldn't mind if he changed his name to Red X as long as there's a reason for it and he has a solo

I think it could by fun too.I just would like to see Jason have a solo.I'm kinda of tired of him sharing the spotlight. It would be cool if he could do both though.Jason and Tim had good chemistry when Lobdell wrote them

Agreed. And that death scene was powerful. It's like he knew he screwed up and accepted the consequences like a man
You know you've whitewashed Red Hood when you have to give him a new alias "Red-X" in order to make him darker lol.
But seriously, he can be a darker character and still be Red Hood, all it takes is a little push. His personality can also stay the same for the most part, just change the characters he hangs out with.
@youknowwhattodo: just pitching ideas...anything to get him a solo lol.

You should go more in detail with your ideas of him becoming Red X.I'd love to hear them
@lifeofvibe@daredevil21134 so are you guys dropping RHTO or are you going to see how the venom addiction arc turns out ?
@midnightdragon18: I'm gonna decide after Future's end
I wonder if they are going to keep forcing him into the Batfam when Grayson is reintroduced back into the DCU?
That's a good question,maybe not as much.
