Iron Man is one of my favorite CBC (comic book characters), it's too bad I don't have any scans of him to show them right now. Give me some time, I'l fix that :)

A planetary-wide electromagnetic pulse fails to shut down Iron Man's armor. It is such a powerful surge of electromagnetism that it's claimed that all the nukes ever built, detonated simultaneously, it still couldn't generate the same level of power.

Here is another one from a more modern era:
