After the Scarlet Witches Chaos Wave wiped out almost the entire mutant population, Hope Summers was the first mutant baby born since. A prophecy foretold that she would reignite the mutant race, while another foretold her to be a bringer of destruction. Later on, during the war between the Avengers and the X-Men, Hope proves the prophecy true using the power of the Phoenix to bring mutants back from the brink of extinction. Now, she is one of the Five on Krakoa, who are mutants specifically used to bring mutants back from the dead. Her mutant ability is described as power manipulation, where she can mimic the power of a mutant to its fullest potential, amplify mutant abilities, and unlock the full potential of a mutant.

Her Phoenix abilities will be seen in the link below alongside the Phoenix Five.

Hope Summers' bio, powers, and stats (X-Men: Phoenix Force Handbook)

Hickman's Omega Level List confirms Hope Summers to be the Omega Level Mutant for Power Manipulation. (House of X #1)

As of House/Powers of X, Hope Summer's powers are confirmed to be under the head of "Powers Manipulation", meaning she has supreme control of the powers of other mutants as her main mutant ability. However, her powerset goes a little deeper than just power manipulation. So each section will go over what Hope's different abilities do. These powers are psionic in nature and passive.

    Power Detection

Despite Gabriel Cohuelo running faster than the eye could see by virtue of his powers messing with time, yet Hope can sense him with her powers. (Uncanny X-Men vol 1 #527)

Hope turns off the mutant powers of Exodus, stating that being Omega-Level means there is no limit to what she can do with her power manipulation abilities. This, apparently, seems to include Omega-Level Mutants like Exodus. (Immortal X-Men #11)

    Pluripotent Echophraxic (Psionic Power Mimicry)

Hope's mimicry powers are explained under the name "pluripotent echopraxic", which means Hope duplicates powers psionically. (X-Force vol 4 #6)
By far the most mutants Hope has mimicked, Hope mimics all the students and some X-Men powers to take off Ku'urth's helmet single-handedly. The plan works, but the act of getting the helmet off exhausts Hope to the point of fainting. According to Scott, there are around over 100 mutants on Utopia and, according to Emma, the best part of half of them are children. Given Scott called all the students to frontline, Hope could very well have mimicked more than 20 mutants, not including unnamed mutants or any X-Men present to accompany the students like Magneto in one of the scans or the mutants attacking Ku'urth before he faced Hope. Some notable ones include Pixie, Magneto, Rockslide, and Gentle. (Uncanny X-Men vol 1 #541)
Hope copies Psylocke's telepathy through technology that Hope is connected to. (X-Force vol 4 #9)

Hope Summers is capable of copying mutant powers stolen by a non-mutant magician who installed them in a duplicate clone of herself. (Immortal X-Men #17, 18)
With Jean's subconcsious blessing, Hope gains access to the Phoenix Force by mimicking Jean's powers, form cosmic wings and a sword of fire. This may imply either Hope can mimic more than just mutants, go so far as mimicking cosmic entities or it could imply Hope can mimic the extra attachments to a mutant, like maybe magic. We also get Hope possibly mimicking Exodus's belief based power augmentation. (Jean Grey vol 2 #4; Immortal X-Men #17)

    Power Synchronizing

As a part of the Five, Hope's job is to unify and amp the mutants (Goldballs [now called Egg], Tempus, Proteus, and Elixir) powers to produce a resurrection. Without Hope, none of the mutants previously mentioned would be capable of accomplishing this feat. (House of X #5)

According to Beast, Hope is the most irreplaceable key to resurrection, with confirmation that attempts to replace her have been disastrous. The issue is that her abilities are more than augmenting the Five, showing the importance of her synergy abilities. (Immortal X-Men #10)

Through many requests from Quentin Quire, the Five are capable of making any adjustment to a husks body to fit the needs of an individual in the exact precise dimensions required. Since Hope is the leader and the one syncing with the others, she can be credited for making sure things are precise, during the process (though Laura Kinney can attest they are not always perfect). The Five seem to have the ability to inject their husks with outside attachments and can delay the minds of the individuals being resurrected. In this case, the Five inject Omega Red with a new carbonadium synthesizer and then they telepathically have his consciousness not engage with reality for several hours. (X-Force vol 6 #15)

Though the exact make-up and attachments are done through a combo of Proteus, the DNA, and Tempus, Cable seems to credit Hope for installing a stealth arm in Cable's husk. Given that Cable just came out of the Egg in this, it is implied that Hope directed the Five to do so. (X-Men: Red vol 2 #3)

Hope and the Five conjure resurrection without using Sinister's DNA catalogue. It is unknown if this was done because of Mother Righteous's magic or the White Hot Room (which is where they are located at in the scan). For context, Mother Righteous is a powerful sorceress able to tap into the Waiting Room the Scarlet Witch created for Krakoa to access souls that are not in Cerebro's database. The White Hot Room is the realm of the Phoenix Force, where all creation originates and life is funneled to and from. (Immortal X-Men #16)

    Power Augmentation

The resurrection protocol is described in full detail. Notable things regarding Hope: Hope is confirmed synergizing and enhancing the powers of the other four mutants during the process of resurrection. While four of the Five have noted that they are not under duress or fatigue or even massive exertion during the process, they are being amped by Hope, so its understandable. The thing about that is, testing showed ALL, meaning Hope as well, have an easier time doing this process and get stronger the more they practice. So Hope amping four other mutants' powers does not tire her, but it is rather euphoric in a fulfilling way. (House of X #5)
Hope quickly amps the Five enough to quickly make two viable husks for the resurrection protocol within seconds. (X-Factor vol 4 #4)

Hope syncs with Proteus, Synch, and two others and starts funneling power through Exodus, who then channels that power into Syne, a Hex with the power of the armories of Uranos, to briefly fight off the Progenitor, a Frankenstein-esque Celestial composed of the bits of other dead Celestial parts. Not confirmed, but potentially possible. On AiPT's X-Men Monday #131, current Lead Editor of the X-Men Comics, Jordan D. White, states that Hope's powers have grown over the years and that there is nothing necessarily saying she can't tap into a power she has used in the past. He back-tracks after because it was going over how Hope manages to use telepathy in Inferno vol 2 #2, in which its more likely there was a telepath nearby than it is for Hope to use a power she has never displayed before. Still, the fact that Jordan suggests this displays that it is a potential possible ability that could fall under her powerset.

    General Psionics

This section will mostly contain other abilities that can explicitly be placed under "Power Manipulation" and aren't Mimicked Abilities. You will find a lot of them to be, seemingly, psionic in nature, but not all.

    Mental Link/ Bond

    Low-Level Mind-Control

Scott alludes to Hope having the ability gain followers easily. It may sound like Hope is just charismatic or convincing, but we learn later that Hope has a degree of control over Light's, so it can be very possible that Hope can extend this influence outside of the Lights. (Generation Hope #6)

During the Krakoa era, the Five (Hope, Elixir, Proteus, Tempus, and Egg) share a closeness with each other after experiencing the Resurrection Protocols euphoric experience that leads to stronger mutant powers for everyone. Considering Hope is in charge of amping and synchronizing the Five's powers, it is most likely her doing in inducing this sort of closeness, given her history of inducing loyalty with mutants she forms a connection with, to the point where its described a s symbiotic process. Iron Fist/ Shao Lao's Powers

For a short time during the "Avengers vs X-Men" event, Hope briefly absorbed the powers of Shao Lao to fight against Dark Phoenix (Cyclops) alongside the Avengers and X-Men. Thus, she not only gains the power of the Iron Fist, but the direct powers of the ancient dragon, Shao Lao. It is unknown if these powers faded after AvX or if Hope is still capable of these same abilities.

    Omega-Level Mimicry

    No Caption Provided

As stated before, Hope's powerset before being revealed as a "Power Manipulator" was thought to have been "Power Mimicry". Though Hope is an omega level mutant with no perceived limit potentially, she, for the time being, has a limited distance to work with and she seems to only mimics a mutant powers, with some exceptions. It has been stated that she uses these powers to their greatest potential with full-control. For how the mechanics of how this power works, go to the power manipulation section. Every power under this section are mimicked with who the subject was in question.

    Tactical Skill and Weapon Proficiency

Given her training from Cable, Hope Summers is pretty proficient in using artillery of different kinds and building her own technology. This resourcefulness makes her pretty prepared for every battle she is going into. The most consistent weapons she usually carries on her person though include her fathers rifle, a Psimitar (either one Blaquesmith gave her or Cable's), and a knife. She may also use a jetpack every so often for fast travel.

Can she still use the powers of the Phoenix without being the host? I remember scarlet witch saying that she was "a part of the Phoenix" so that seems logical.

What is the difference between her "Power Mimicry" and "Power Absorption" tho ? Wouldn't be simplier to put it in just one category ?

Also really interesting on how Hope powers has been growing on the last few years...i wonder if we're going to ever see her manipulating the powers of non-mutants again, although this would make her incredibly broken lol

Power absorption is basically taking the powers from a person and leaving them less powerful than they were basically rogue, it really depends but mimicry is copying powers, it doesn't affect the power-levels of the copied one.

I don't think that this will ever happen, we already have synch who is doing something similar to this and tbh, i really do not like the fact that his limits are very small.
