Goku tier status on Comic Vine

Anyone else find it strangely peculiar how something so obvious and universally accepted can be so heavily debated on Comic Vine? Seriously, there are still people who unironically consider UI Goku just a galaxy buster, and that Z characters are barely solar system level.

For whatever reason, Comic Vine tends to low ball DB characters the most out of any battle forum I've encountered, but why? Is it all a reactionary wave brought on by the old Goku vs Superman debates? Are people so angry and spiteful towards DB fans that they're irrationally spurned onto attack them and what they hold dear?

There's also the group of people who fit into the "I'm a rational skeptic" category that act intellectual and unbiased, but usually almost always have an agenda and lowball for the sake of low balling.

because no one in DBZ destroyed anything more than a planet. It's not a lowball if you take what characters do over what fans think they do. So no one is going to actually argue that Zeno destroyed a universe, but they will argue that Goku, a character who's never even destroyed a planet and can't survive in a vacuum is a universe buster.

It is however true that people here are far less scrutinous over other series than they are over Dragon Ball.

@jashugan: Tea because Goku is obviously not stronger than first form Frieza. So First form Frieza solos everyone in Namek and Cell saga easily. Probably could pick a fight with Buu easily and first form Frieza is way stronger than his final and golden form. Such a shame first form Frieza used weaker forms and that his his first form can solo everyone that his final and golden form couldn't do. Even better that Roshi can solo everyone in DB, but hid his power because he would make the plot short. Such a shame that our hero moon buster Roshi held back for sake of plot.

Obviously Nappa can solo Goku and Vegeta because he nuke a city while Goku and Vegeta didn't. So maybe big green was right that's Nappa was the strongest one. Too bad our hero scientist Bardock couldn't use his moon creation for Nappa to surpass everyone. At least he was damn good scientist. Can't wait until our lord Nappa gets solo by first form Frieza because he blew up planet, but Nappa would put up a better fight with Frieza easily than that no feat SSJ Goku.

Dragon ball z Goku is stronger than dragon ball super Goku.

The lowballing of Goku became more intense with dbs, since he lost 99,99% of his power.

I always considered dbs non-canon, no matter what people says. DBS is an insult to the dragon ball franchise, it should not have existed.

What are you talking about? Superman has yet to show Planet Level DC in his entirety of comics. He can never compare to current Goku on his own. He is herald level at best. His strikes are pathetic and can't even compare to the Universe shaking strike Goku did.
