Your favorite era for Vegeta?
I think every saga has an argument except Super. Super has made him a lame/neutered mentor.
Saiyan Saga-The biggest threat to date and set the stage for what DBZ became
Frieza Saga-The wildly entertaining 3rd party Dragon Ball hunter
Android Saga-Super Saiyan arrogance and gaining self awareness
Buu Saga-Majin Vegeta and the completion of his character arc
Namek and Super
I think that's where most of Vegeta's character development shines imo
He regresses in Buu saga, but reverts back so I don't count that
He was just really grumpy during the Android/Cell arc with his usual Vegeta self hype
This, while Ultra Ego was a shit form, it made Vegeta his own character. And finally started bringing him out of Goku's shadow.
Granted he goes right back but still.
He was also the big baddie in the Saiyan Saga so that made it badass. Plus I think all the Super Saiyan forms after Super Saiyan 1 are underwhelming...like SSJ2, SSJ Blue, Ultra Ego. The power levels after the Lord Frieza Saga are a bit ridiculous. I think he has his best overall character in the Saiyan Saga. He was badass in the Cell Saga though...when he unleashed the Final Flash on Cell. He had many good moments in the Cell Saga...fighting Cell Juniors and Semi-Perfect Cell and stuff. Also, his self sacrifice against Majin Buu when he fought him as Majin Vegeta and his thoughts about his family was awesome and touching. DB Super just doesn't have the tension, suspense and depth that DBZ and DB had. DB Super has the worst version of Vegeta perhaps.
In DB Super, his best moments were beating Destroyer Toppo and easily beating Toppo's Hakai energies and giving a good fight to Jiren. Also, Ultra Ego Vegeta is a nice contrast to Ultra Instinct Goku but the power levels have become ridiculous...plus all the different hair colours and stuff.
Yeah, I hate that DB Super took away the muscular forms of characters like Trunks, Vegeta, Krillin, Tien and Gohan. It is another reason why DB Super is perhaps worse than DB and DBZ.
