YJ Artemis/Tigress Respect Thread

Artemis Crock is the daughter of villain and ex-villain Sportsmaster and Huntress, as well as the sister of long-time enemy to the Team, Cheshire. Green Arrow took her under his wing after Speedy deserted the Team and the League, and she joined the Team under the pretense of his niece. She eventually told them the truth, and became romantically involved with Wally West, a.k.a. Kid Flash. After the events of Season 1 of Young Justice, she quit being a superhero with Wally and chose to focus on school. She was brought back on the Team by Nightwing to help in Aqualad's undercover mission to infiltrate the Light, where she faked her own death and joined Kaldur as his lieutenant, Tigress. After the Team and the League defeated the Reach and Wally sacrificed himself, Artemis decided to stay on the Team again, but this time as Tigress instead of Artemis the archer.

Artemis Equipment

Bow

Artemis uses a compound bow:

Hand Bow

Artemis carries a small, hand-held crossbow on her person.

She used this to save herself and Wally from a fall into lava:

Explosive Arrow

An arrow that explodes on contact.

Artemis's explosive arrows pack enough power to flip a speeding military jeep:

Foam Arrow

An arrow that releases a high-density foam capable of trapping an enemy after hardening.

Here she traps Blockbuster with it:

Here she uses one to catch a falling citizen from a multi-story fall:

She uses another version of this to encase a man's arm around a detonator to prevent him from pressing it:

Freeze Arrow

An arrow that freezes a target.

Artemis used this to freeze Black Spider's webs to bring him down:

Net Arrow

An arrow that shoots out a net to catch and tie up a target:

Flammable Gas Arrow

An arrows that releases flammable gas.

Artemis uses this against Parasite so that when he used his Heat Vision stolen from Superboy, he ignited an explosion:

Flashbang Arrow

An arrow that creates a large, bright light intended to stun enemies:

Shotgun Magnetic Arrow

An arrow that sends out a shot similar to a shotgun and acts as a magnet.

Oil Arrow

An arrow that disperses oil over intended targets and also holds micro beads inside of it with GPS:

This is more of an intelligence feat, but Artemis turned on the gas for an oven, left it open, and then fired a fire arrow at Harm. When he caught it, it lit up like a match and then exploded, intending to take out Harm. Watch from 17:50.

Pain Tolerance

Artemis tanks being slammed into a wall by a large force of water. Watch from 4:20.

Artemis is unharmed after being near an explosion that destroyed and made a large hole in a wall. Watch from 5:25.

Artemis is unharmed after sliding down an air vent and falling to the floor at least a dozen feet below. Watch from 16:30.

Gonna be adding some stuff to this respect thread, including some S3 updates

Training:

Artemis was trained by her father Sportsmaster, one of the most dangerous fighters in the YJverse (a status indicated by his position as the Light's first enforcer).

Artemis was trained alongside her sister Jade, who, as Cheshire, earned a reputation as one of the world's greatest assassins in her own right

Sportsmaster trained Artemis and Jade in all manner of combat, such as unarmed martial arts and melee weapons. However, Artemis came to specialize in archery, using marksmanship to counterbalance her relative size disadvantage against larger opponents like her sister or father

As an archer, Artemis came to admire the work of Green Arrow, going so far as to design her costume to be similar to his when she decided to become a crime fighter. When Artemis was recruited by the Justice League for the Team, Green Arrow agreed to take her under his wing. Unlike Sportsmaster, Green Arrow acted as a positive mentor and role model, praising Artemis's existing talents while continuing to help her hone her abilities

While Artemis found an archery mentor in Green Arrow, she also gained additional training in hand to hand combat alongside the rest of the Team under Black Canary

While we don't see much of Canary training Artemis, we have additional indication of the benefits of Canary's instruction by seeing how other characters (with no other source of training) were able to improve

In S3, Artemis has assumed the role of a trainer in her own right, helping the new Team to hone their powers and skills. She was shown instructing Terra in hand to hand combat, using her training under the likes of Sportsmaster and Black Canary to develop her own style of teaching

Melee Ability

While Artemis learned to specialize as an archer, she was trained by her father in all forms of combat, including melee. Even as a teenager, she was quite capable in hand to hand, able to dispatch multiple larger opponents with ease

When training alongside the rest of the team, she was shown holding her own against Robin (a highly capable fighter in his own right)

As a side note on this regard, personally, I would be fine drawing on showings from Black Canary's other students as an indication of what Artemis (the most capable h2h fighter on the team except for Dick, having already had martial arts instruction) would be capable of

When fighting the Injustice League, Artemis was separated from her bow and arrows. Nevertheless, she was shown engaging Poison Ivy in hand to hand combat

In Season 2, Artemis assumed them mantle of Tigress, and throughout seasons 2 and 3 she has made greater use of melee weapons, such as her sword or staff

While Artemis is ultimately inferior to her father in hand to hand combat, as Tigress she was shown to be able to put some pressure on him, and I'd be remiss if I didn't include those feats

One of Artemis's best h2h feats came in S3, when she engaged Black Manta on even ground

For some context, Black Manta is a decently capable fighter whose suit grant him enhanced stats sufficient to fight evenly with S1 Aqualad

Adding in a few more feats

Speed/Agility

When fighting Black Manta, Tigress showed great reaction time and agility by repeatedly dodging his laser blasts (and the subsequent explosions they caused). She was also fast enough to draw and fire an arrow mid-flip, surprising Manta with a well placed explosive arrow

In S2, she intercepted and blocked a laser blast headed for Ra's al Ghul, prompting his thanks (and realization that she was Artemis in disguise, after seeing her reflection/the charm-it wasn't entirely clear)

Here, she covers some great ground with a singe jump

Outmaneuvering Black Beetle, jumping on top of him when he tries to hit her and then springboarding away when he tries to grab her

Stealth/CQC:

Using Nightwing's smokescreen, Tigress took down two meta-duplicates without them even realizing she was there

She was shown one-shotting one of the clones later and was about to engage two more, when the original meta was ko'ed (thus getting rid of his duplicates)
