NOTE: This idea is COMPLETELY ORIGINAL. It doesn't involve TIME TRAVEL, the MULTIVERSE or even Charles Xavier messing with anyone's head! It's my idea, and whether or not Marvel goes with it is up to them.
So, without further ado, here's how to bring the X-Men in.
So, the story is, Hank Pym wasn't the first scientist to use Quantum Energy. The first group to use Quantum Energy was a group in Canada called Weapon X, which sought to create new super-soldiers in the post-WWII 1940s. Their first test-subject was a homeless man named Logan, whose mutation came in the form of his bone turning to metal, as well as gaining a healing factor and claws. However, the project soon went awry. Their Quantum Realm-device exploded, sending an invisible wave of energy across the world which mutated the genes of a small fraction of the population, while leaving the rest of the population completely unaffected. The reason for this is that some humans had a dormant gene in them that could be triggered by an external source, which is we saw happen to Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in Age of Ultron, as well as Ava Starr/Ghost in Ant-Man and The Wasp.
Later, more mutants were born, such as Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr. However, humanity continued to ignore their obvious existence, as they refused to believe that anyone was born "enhanced". Around the time between Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Avengers: Age of Ultron, Xavier began to put together an academy for young mutants to learn how to use their powers. His first students were Scott Summers, a mutant who could shoot blasts out of his eyes, Jean Grey, a girl who could move objects with nothing but willpower, Hank McCoy, a mutant college student who could transform into a furry blue monster, Warren Worthington, a mutant who had wings that he could use to fly, and Alex Summers, the brother of Scott who could send a blast of energy from his chest. Years later, The Avengers used the Quantum Realm to stop the alien tyrant Thanos, which resulted in another explosion of energy that doubled the mutant population, fully bringing the X-Men and the mutant race to a point where they could no longer be ignored. This would be what sets up the first MCU X-Men movie.
What I want in an X-Men movie
Honestly, I at least want the first movie to leave Wolverine out. The reason for this is, while I love Wolverine, the old X-Men franchise felt a lot like "Wolverine and friends" to me. I'd love to have him in a sequel, but the first movie is just not the time. In addition to this, I don't want Magneto in the first movie. He was a great villain and all, but overused, like Wolverine. Maybe Mister Sinister or someone like that could be the villain of the MCU's first X-Men movie.
Now, instead of what I DON'T WANT, here's what I do want.
While the original X-Men franchise put a sh*t-ton of emphasis on action, I want this one to, while having action, have more of a Harry Potter/Hogwarts kind of feel. If you aren't getting it, I want a lot less of this...
...and a lot more of this.
So, that's my idea on how to bring the X-Men into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. What do you think? Comment!
