Would You Rather Be A Kryptonian Or A Saiyan?

Kryptonian, not even for the powers really. I’d be happy with just the technology.

Kryptonian without question.

There aren’t many reasons to choose being a saiyan over a kryptonian. The Saiyan has to have his ki up or he’s gonna get hurt plus you can be poisoned. It seems like the saiyan is only powerful with his Ki active so if you’re sleeping and someone snuck up on you, you’re screwed.

The only reason to choose the saiyan is that you’re potentially more powerful, and that’s really it and with the esoteric power that involves ki here and there, but who’s gonna train you to learn those abilities?

A saiyan also can’t go into space nor underwater for a long period of time, so that limits travel and also a kryptonian is smart from natural biology and speed plus your perfect memory and inability to get diseases.

In conclusion, in the real world being a Kryptonian is much better.

I'd take DCEU Kryptonian over DBsuper saiyans.

Full health, unble to get sick from earth based disease or anything except Kryptonite. No innate desire to fight, no monkey instincts. Can survive space and all that.

After a certain point, the pure power level becomes reduntant.

Saiyan for philosophical reasons. I believe the more vulnerable you are and the more work you put in makes you a better person.

Also ki is incredibly versatile with the right training

Definitely saiyan. You can lower your ki and live a relatively normal life. You have to work for your power so you have something to work for. Way higher ceiling on your power. More diverse abilities. Saiyan pride is a pretty strong antidepressant too.

Literally anyone in DBZ can use ki. Saiyans being able to use ki is not an ability they specifically have. They just have a huge amount of potential, but even a Kryptonian could potentially learn how to use ki if they were in the DBZ verse. Being an actually powerful saiyan means that you have to go through years of the most intense training you can imagine and also that you get beat up a lot. Being a Kryptonian just is so much more practical.

Can you explain why there was no super saiyan for million years?

An average saiyan <<< average kryptonian. Unless you belong to Goku or vegeta family you won't become a super saiyan . Saiyans have to train to train very hard to get stronger while kryptonians just have to sun dip.

Saiyan. I work out every day and it would be great to get stronger as my body breaks down.

And with Ki control, as @johncena69swag mentioned, I can live a relatively normal life.

You'd have to train under non-existent conditions for years to get anywhere near Goku's level of strength. You'd be hard pressed to get past 21st Budokai Goku in terms of strength, seeing as how most Saiyans aren't radically powerful from birth (obviously >>>>>>human babies though). You'd also have to figure out ki techniques from scratch.

Kryptonian all the way - no work required, wider range of everyday use powers, no spikey hair, greater stamina, no need for food, water or sleep (though I still would), etc.

This, I think a lot of people underestimate what the main saiyans went through, alot of their power ups also came from getting beat half to death which wouldn't work unless their was someone on your level and even training alone might not be enough without the proper conditions or as we saw with all the saiyans who "earned" Ssj, they had to go through something that blew their emotions into a rage, even Gohan as he had to come to the realization that cell was going to kill everyone he cared about.

Kryptonians are superior from a physical and power stand point to the Average Saiyan and don't have the risk of apeing out young and killing people.

Sayan powers are useless. Imagine having superman powers.

In real life having superhearing, freeze breath, superspeed, strength, flight, no need for oxygen, food. Could fly to space easily, get into the sun, heat vision. Xray vision. Supermans powers are so much more usefull

When he didnt get cancer from nuclear radiation. If he can withstand that, pretty much nothing on earth would make him sick. Also literaly every desease has to kill him by surpassing his healing factor and good luck with that when he can repair large amount of tissue in seconds. No desease on earth would progress that fast.

Saiyan, I’d be more vulnerable yeah but at least my ego won’t be stroked due to the fact that I won’t think I’m an invincible god.

Definitely Saiyan because you can continue to get stronger. And going Super Saiyan? Who could pass that up????

@supermanforever: don't forget that his insides would be invulnerable as well since Kryptonian body was incapable of decay, and decay happens from bacteria.

At least I won't have to worry about turning into a giant ape, needing to get my ass handed to me to get stronger (I mean who would be able to beat me?), sticking out like a sore thumb due to the fact I have an aura any time I power up, etc.

@stormshadow_x: true but saiyans have a higher ceiling, as we see Goku has continued to get stronger since the 90's lol. Practically choosing Kryptonian would be the smarter option, but I feel like being a saiyan would be cooler.

There is literally no logical reason to choose being a Saiyan in the real world. Even if you could train to Goku’s level (which you can’t in all honesty) all that power would be completely and utterly useless on Earth with no one to fight, you’d be equally unbeatable as a Kryptonian. Strength for strength’s sake is pointless if you can’t use it.

While the Saiyan’s Zenkai boost innate adaptation is tempting, that’s the only real selling point in comparison to a Kryptonian: the latter has exponentially higher stats to start with, can survive/travel in space, isn’t dependent on training for maintaining strength, possesses super intelligence and they retain their durability/pain tolerance even when caught off-guard so I wouldn’t have to worry about something as insignificant as a rock thrown at my head if I’m napping.

Kryptonians are more bullshit than saiyans. Plus the fact they can breath in space is a bonus.

Still going Kryptonian and not even really for the powers. I’d be fine with just the technology alone, the powers are just a bonus.

Saiyan. I despise Superman and Kryptonians. I haven’t watched anything beyond DBZ Planet Nam-Ek Arc and some GT but they are cooler to me.

I don’t need that much power for my own good, I know for a fact I would be doing Brightburn activities.

To achieve power without effort would be the Kryptonian.

As a Saiyan you need a lot of training.

It is noteworthy that Radiz who had a power of only 1,200 was actually above average for saiyan standards.

Imagine saying you want to be a Saiyan and then turning into an Ape of the full moon and killing thousands when they have virtually no advantage already compared to Kryptonians.
