Would MCU Thanos and Hela make a good couple?
Thanos wants to kill half off half the life in the universe and Hela is the goddess of death. A match made in heaven.
@mister_surreal: agreed. Tbh I kinda wish they went that route.
@rabumalal: And Thanos isn’t ??
@heatforce: They still might. Hela could return in Endgame and meet Thanos from Hel, which is her realm. But that suggests that Surtr didn’t kill her.
@mister_surreal: wop comic hela loves comic Thanos
She is even trying to bring him back from the death as it shown in gotg by cates

Better that way. With all of Thor's family dead, I feel like that dynamic will be missed; even if she's just a straight villain.
@supermanthor: Which comic is that?
@mister_surreal: guardians of the Galaxy by cates
@mister_surreal: Thanos is different kind of insane. He likes to chill. Many instances of him doing this such as sitting on his chair for many movies and smiling, chilling on Vormir scene after killing his daughter, becoming chill farmer Thanos after the snap. I don’t see Hela wanting to settle with anything and chill, even after assembling the IG.
@rabumalal: She’s only really crazy in the heat of battle, very much like Thanos on Titan when he was fighting various opponents. Hela was just hanging out in the Asgardian throne room when she wasn’t fighting, she seems to enjoy relaxation almost as much as killing her enemies.
@supermanthor: Thanks.
@mister_surreal: the longer she's on Asgard, the more powerful she grows. She needed to replenish her power, but she lives for war and conquest. Thanos really did intend to rest and settle after completing his goal. Hela won't rest until all is hers, which won't ever happen as long as beings like Dormammu exist.
@rebake: Umm...The Infinity Gauntlet? Thanos snaps his fingers and the universe is hers. The same goes for Dormammu and the dark dimension since they exist in the same universe.
@mister_surreal: but why would Thanos snap away half of life for her? And what if Dormammu and similar beings are spared? Hello has no interest in using infinity stones herself and the fight where she loses against someone like Dormammu is likely her last if her fight with Surtur is any indication.
@rebake: If she wants everyone to rule under her then she could just use the infinity stones herself with her own guantlet or armor to control them. The point is that Thanos can give Hela anything that she wants, be it mass genocide or ruling over the universe. If she wants to kill cosmic or demonic beings like Dormammu then tht isn’t a problem. That’s my point. Thanos is really just plain sadistic and has no qualms with murder on a universal scale, not only that but he can give quite literally anything that she wants as long as it doesn’t extend to other universes.
@mister_surreal: MCU Thanos is not like that. He would not help Hela take over the universe. She has a bad habit of killing all, not half of her opposition and spares none of her enemies. The only reason Hela did not get close to Thanos' kill count is bc she didn't have the means. But she'd do worse than Thanos if she felt that's what it took to rule everything. Thanos wasn't completely selfish in his ambitions and had good intentions (ends justifying the means) despite the execution. Hela is completely selfish and I don't see Thanos ever kneeling to her like she wants everyone to. Even Loki didn't despite his fear, so Thanos definitely won't. And vice versa, I cannot see Hela kneeling to Thanos. Thanos may not want to rule everything, but he values his own freedom. Thanos and Hela would clash in the MCU. There's no reason Thanos would love this iteration of Hela. He doesn't kill for the same reasons Hela does and their goals are very different even if their means involves high casualties. Hela in-character does not know how to use infinity stones and is not interested in using them. The space stone was right there in the vault, and she could've used that instead of the bifrost to travel between planets. But just like Malekith didn't really use the reality stone as well as Thanos, it's likely the same story with the space stone and Hela.
@rebake: Alright then...no need to write an essay.
@rebake: Either way, if Hela wants to rule the universe and Thanos just wants to kill off half of it then he could just use the infinity guantlet to solve all of their problems. Thanos could use the infinity gauntlet to have all life forms in the universe bend to her will so that people won’t rebel against her, but if she doesn’t want that and kills off more than half then Thanos can simply create more people who serve directly under Hela. And if Hela does for whatever reason know about the dark dimension then Thanos could just teach her how to use the stones. Thanos doesn’t seem to care about power as long as the universe is balanced so Hela can be in charge while he rotates the crops. If Hela ever gets to power hungry and wants him to give up the guantlet completely, he could just use the mind of reality to either trick her or make it so that it is the one thing that she doesn’t ask of him. The infinity gauntlet really makes any problems that they have non-existent.
@mister_surreal: the main point I'm making is their personalities will clash, so they'd have a hard time working together and are more likely to fight. Odin and Hela worked together for a while, but then Hela went too far. Thanos, like Odin stops after a certain point, and if Thanos has to mess with Hela's mind for cooperation, then the answer to this thread's main question is pretty clear.
@rebake: Fair enough.
@subline: lol ya Thanos just wants to farm .. hes a wuss lol
