Who are the worst comic book writers in Marvel and DC history?

Can't really say one person holds the all time title because some horrible writers atm have good work previously or in certain circumstances

Bendis is a good example of having some good work but sharply declining.

Bendis for his team comics or comic event after 2010s , King for his Batman and Aaron for his WAX and Thor

I feel like the people saying Jason Aaron only read his Marvel work but not his indie work. Besides, he's probably not the worst writer in a comic book company that's been around for nearly 60 years. Ya'll just bitter about recent events but can't see the forest beyond the trees.

B.M. Bendis, S. Snyder, K. Smith, ... and the other are very bad that we don't even know them.

There are always good and bad writers. I have ordered a paper online at one writing service, the writer did not do proper work on my paper and I got bad grade for my homework. But there are many reliable services, we must keep looking for a good writers.

Bendis isn't that bad hes just featured a lot. Hes still great with certain characters

I dont think he wrote Doom that way in Infamous iron way. He still understands certain characters like Jessica jones very well too

They hate Jane thor and Thors weak power levels so much they forget how good GOT really was

Well, he hasn't done much. And I guess, his are not the worse ones, but still far from the best you can find.

I would agree, his Daredevil was very good.

Probably Bendis or Aaron. If anything good both of them had done in Marvel or DC are very limited to three or four titles each.

Not too familiar with Bendis' work outside of Ultimate Spider-Man (2000-2015) and that's my favorite comic book series of all time.

Off topic here, some great writers are Robert Kirkman, Mark Millar, and Cullen Bunn. Also, Brian Michael Bendis used to be good. People are just hating on him since his has stuff is more recent. Too be fair, though, his new stuff is well, the reason I don't read many comics made after 2015

Frank Miller at his worst is probably the lowest I've seen, though he's written enough good that it sort of balances out.

I do consider Scott Lobdell a bad writer.

I consider the worst comic book writer I've read is Marc Guggenheim. Awful every time I read his stuff.

People are concentrating too much on writers which wrote something that they don´t like rather than BAD writers.

If people had to come up with stuff every mounth for years with no sizeable break in between i ASSURE you even the best writer in the world will drop quality and write a bunch of shit stuff. Not much room to have a break, outline stuff welcome new ideas, no only write.

Yeah I hate Bendis's guardians with a passion, but to call him a bad comic writer is a serious stretch, much less "one of the worsts"

This is the list of Bendis's brand comics(some of them are extremely overrated till now) that made him infamous

New Avengers, Ultimate X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, Guardians of Galaxy, Civil War II, Age of Ultron, AvX, Siege etc etc. Not to mention after couple arcs I find his Jessica Jones to be pretty repetitive and Gaydos's art was bleh and some of the panels seemed like he just copy pasted his own.

@vishop_: I get not liking Bendis, I'm a huge fan of the cosmic side of Marvel and he basically killed it until Ewing and Cates started reviving it last year. However I don't think it's fair to call anyone who wrote Ultimate Spider-man or his daredevil a "bad writer" considering just how good they are, much less one of the worst of all times. For the most part even his "bad" stories aren't awful, more just not great characterization. I also like books like Siege and in your infamous section your attributing books that were group affairs that he just took up parts of(AvX and Ultimate X-Men) entirely to Bendis, which is pretty unfair.

His books like Avengers, Infamous Iron Man, and Siege may not be perfect, but I'd consider them pretty good and a very enjoyable read. For almost any other author those would be considered good to great books, but because Bendis's highs are so high, his lows seem to get over exaggerated. Hell with most of his lows the writing isn't even that bad, it's more just his lack of care for characterization.

From your list, New Avengers and Siege were actually well received for the most part, and your good list is very lacking, you can add his events from his New Avengers era like House of M and Secret Invasion which were likewise well received in general, there's Miles Morales, Spider-Men, Powers, Alias, Mighty Avengers, Dark Avengers, Defenders and the very recently praised Batman: Universe.

If you don't like him that's fine, but stating that he is a bad writer as a fact isn't really accurate, objectively he is one of the most respected and valued creators in the industry, his reputation amongst his peers and in the industry speaks for itself.
