I wouldn't kill a defenceless Thanos but I would see to it that he gets punished in some way. Superman would not have killed a defenceless villain who's no longer a huge threat no matter what atrocities the villain has caused, guess I wouldn't either.

I don't know. He wasn't in any position where he could really defend himself, so you could try and imprison him at that point, but there is always a danger in letting someone like Thanos live. At the least, you should probably take him into custody and vote on his fate as a group.

MCU Thanos' cosmic level stupidity is a pretty legit reason to drop him off from the universal gene pool.

You don't give this kind of idiot any chance to breed since he is very hard to kill via natural means.

I wouldnt say he has a mental illness, just has messed up beliefs. He is doing what he sees right and has a reason to see it this way too.

No...ii wouldn't have killed him right away...i would have taken him into custody, then informed the rest of the Galaxy. let the other races get a piece of him before we kill him.

He may be retired but... At that point it had been like a week at most during the snap. And he still deserved it because he was still wrong and a mad man

Your going to have me in Thor's shoes. I wait a decade, knowing there's a higher power somewhere, someone looking for the right moment to strike and do whatever terrible atrocity he is going to do. Then he strikes just after (Earth, in this case) is destroyed by MY OWN DECISION. Then, in that vulnerable moment, Thanos kills half of the human race, beating my butt, before killing my (sister) and best friend back-to-back in front of my eyes. I go on a suicide mission to make a weapon that can kill him, but when I get it, I figure out he is not where I think he is. I'm not around when he gets there, so he completes his goal except for the very final step, and I have a chance to stop him. I fail at it, making it partially my fault that trillions of people die. Not long after, I finally have him in a spot where I can kill him.
