Will Superman be more durable to surpass IW Thor after Man of Steel 2 released?

What? This isn't the cold war, why would Superman become more durable as a reaction to Thor's showing?

He might get better showings, but that will have nothing to do with this arms race (I do hope both companies are mature enough for that).

Way too much speculation and you know this thread invites the answer "He already is".

Judging by the track record of these last few leaks and trailers except for Shazam they all seem to be getting super OP crap

Does Superman have star level physical stats? I think not.

Clark will never surpass the full force of a star, not even comic Clark can compare to even a fraction of Thor's durability.

Two problems here:

1) Thor never tanked it.

2) Based on what we know of Superman as a whole, Superman has a VERY good chance of doing that feat in ANY version.

he already takes it in the blunt force and piercing department, energy goes to Thor.

He is around the same durability as Thor everywhere except heat and I don't see him getting blasted by a star so I'm gonna guess no.

He's already more durable. He survived a 1.2 Megaton Nuke with heat levels over 100 million Kelvin which lasts a fraction of a second... while weakened. Although he was KOed, and shriveled up, he remained alive for an extended perion, only passed out.

Thor was getting burnt to a crisp by a dying neutron star with heat at around a million kelvins, massively cooler than a Nuke. Sure he took the solar beam for around 30 seconds, its still massively cooler than a Nuke. its like cool water compared to water at boiling temps. And Unlike Superman wasnt dealing with any Explosive kinetic energy. He was gonna die in less than a minute.

If Superman and Thor switched places, Supes would do a better job. And Thor would be dead.

Supes is obviously superior.

Even if I disagree on part of this I applaud you for giving Thor something durability wise.

Switch places and Supes would do a lot better than Thor. Thor would die. Seeing as massively cooler heat was killing him. Literally 100 million degrees on Thor for a fraction of a second would incinerate him from the outside to the inside. Massively cooler heat was getting the job done.

Don't have to. I'm just here stating facts. Dying neutron stars and 1.2 Megatons have heat levels that can be verified. Arguing otherwise would be for fun or a waste of time.

What am I supposed to say? Superman already surpassed Thor the moment baby Kal-El landed on earth and started eating sun rays for lunch and so Superman farts Thor into oblivion, because I am a hardcore Superman fan.

Or am I supposed to pretend to be objective and say Thor tanked a Star and moved trillions of tonnes and overpowered Infinty gens and is now at Multiverse level so Thor defeats Superman with his pinky.

@destinyman75: Neither has Thor. I mean, sunbeam isn't exactly star level attack, especially coming from a dying star that didn't even melt regular metals, a small space ship and a dwarf around it... Nuke is way hotter than the surface of regular neutron stars anyway.
