It depends on how much stronger he is than steppenwolf because if the latter is comparable to superman then thanos aint crushing his head with a casual footstomp

Darkseid will be WAYYY STRONGER, FASTER AND OMEGA BEAMIER than base Thanos without stones, that's for sure.

But IG Thanos? Maybe, maybe not. We'll have to wait and see.

Either or way, the fact that he is already being compared to doomsday in power and the fact that doomsday was already rag dolling and giving superman a very hard time (its implied that doomsday could have eventually defeated them had it not been for the kryptonite spear) pretty much points to yes, since even superman and doomsday would have given thanos (who is already slower than doomsday and superman in combat) a very hard time and even potentially defeat thanos. So yes and yes again.

If Darkseid also crushes Steppenwolf's helmet (as the metal he uses is extremely durable - armor tanked Diana's sword, no-sold Superman's punches, etc.) and not just Steppenwolf's head, that would arguably make Darkseid superior to Thanos imo.
