Will Artificial Intelligence replace us powerscalers?

Needs more time. AI just takes info from other sources as far as I know.
If the majority of sources say Superman wins, that's what it will tell you.
In the future maybe. Currently? No way.
AI is certainly less biased than humans but debating specific results (beyond "anything can happen" or "character x wins"), still requires: analysing feats, arguing if certain feats are outliers or not, arguing why a anti-feat is or isn't valid, interpreting statements and trying to prove they should be taken seriously, arguing how the stats and abilities of one character would match against the other and many more...
You don't need to have any qualifications to be a powerscaler but our capacity (as human beings), to react and interpret different situations and social cues on the fly is still superior to the most advanced AI (for what I know), not to mention capacity to gather useful information by yourself without using the bad.
Having said that, AI is more than capable of replicating "X character wins" or "it's subjective/it depends" answers.

Couldn't have said it better
The AI would be more fair and balanced than any battle board debater. But it’s not likely to replace people yet
It would be hilarious of Comicvine just became populated with AI debating and insulting eachother.
You act like Comic Vine isn't like that already.
@superdarth: True but the AI would hopefully be more creative.
In the 90’s people thought we’d have flying cars and sky police.
We are still arguing over whether or not it’s ok for a man to like another man.
If you think Ai will take over power scalers, you are getting your hopes up.

Well they definitely seem better than 90% of "debaters" I've seen.
This was ChatGPT’s response to Ichigo Vs Naruto..
"Determining the winner between Ichigo and Naruto in a hypothetical battle is difficult, as both characters possess unique abilities and strengths that make them formidable fighters.
Ichigo is the main protagonist of the "Bleach" manga and anime series. He is a skilled swordsman and possesses various spiritual powers, including high-speed regeneration, enhanced strength, and the ability to see ghosts and spirits. Ichigo's most notable ability is his bankai, which allows him to unleash his full power and increase his speed, strength, and overall combat abilities.
Naruto, on the other hand, is the main protagonist of the "Naruto" manga and anime series. He is a skilled ninja and possesses powerful chakra abilities, including the Rasengan, shadow clones, and various elemental techniques. Naruto's most notable ability is the Nine-Tailed Fox Chakra Mode, which enhances his physical abilities and grants him immense power and speed.
Both characters have a significant amount of experience and training, making it difficult to determine who would come out on top in a hypothetical battle. However, some factors to consider are:
Speed: Naruto is known for his incredible speed, especially when using his Nine-Tailed Fox Chakra Mode. However, Ichigo has shown impressive speed as well, especially in his bankai form.
Strength: Both characters possess immense strength, but Ichigo's strength is often enhanced by his spiritual powers and bankai
Techniques: Both characters possess a variety of techniques that they can use in battle. Naruto's Rasengan and shadow clones are especially more notable, while Ichigo's bankai and Getsuga Tensho are his signature moves.
In a hypothetical battle between the two, much would depend on the specific circumstances of the fight, including their respective levels of power and the conditions of the battle. However, given Naruto's abilities and tactical applications he would likely have an advantage in a battle against Ichigo
Ultimately, the winner between Ichigo and Naruto would depend on the specific circumstances of the battle and the strategies employed by both fighters. However, based on their abilities and strengths, it could be a close and intense battle
They’re not replacing us any time soon.
@mr-yes: Not saying they're gonna replace us, but that answer is still more thought out and eloquent than most Ichigo vs Naruto arguments I've seen.

@mr-yes: want to ask that AI tho, any link??
OT: Maybe in the future, But not now
Just google chatGPT

Current "AI" are just chatbots programmed to retrieve and format information quickly and lace the answer they provide you with the values of their programmers as can be seen above. At least the bot will own up to its errors when called out on it ( thought at some point in the future, it'll simply lie to you instead ).
I don't think the data sets that exist for powerscaling are objective and cohesive enough to teach an AI, even though it would be technically possible in the abstract.
AI's don't form deterministic understanding, and exist only as a mathematical model - the reliability of this model is wholly dependent on providing reliable data, or at the very least criteria for a successful improvement in model performance, in order to train the model. People within powerscaling communities don't agree on the answers to things, so it would probably have to work on a consensus basis I guess. It is a task especially fraught with subjectivity, requires the ability to decipher feats in multiple mediums/art styles, and also requires assessment of something entirely dependent on human decision making - that is writing itself. A writer could perhaps reduce AI accuracy by simply making inconsistent or non-sensical feats - Aleister destroying a non-existent space, for example.
That said, anything is possible, and maybe we could make a powerscaling AI. I do think the undertaking would be totally wasted on such a trivial task, however.
A.I will never have the passion to consistently make bad faith arguments, use straw mans, poor power scaling and shitty Calcs to defend its favorite character in an online argument, before tossing out a few petty insults after gettingdebunked, disappearing for a week, then making an excuse about real life problems and "I don't spend all my time online".
Souless A.I just doesn't have the capabilities for this. We can not be replaced.
In the future maybe. Currently? No way.

I think in the future, power scalers will use AI to help them with their answers or as an additional tool...and yes, I think AI could replace power scalers in the far future. AI, in the future, can feed on a gigantic amount of comic book/manga data in mere seconds whereas even the best powerscaler humans need years to get that same data...so AI will eventually be used to answer these questions, I think.
It said DCEU Superman would tank the Marvel Comics Necrosword and said DCEU Cheetah would defeat Oblivion. It’s got a long way to go. LOL
