Spider Man gave Bucky, Giant Man and Falcon a hard time despite their years of experience. Then in homecoming Spider Man struggles to take out street thugs and Vulture
Marvel is always inconsistent. Hulk pushed Surtur (800+Meters) but struggeled to flip Fenris (7 meters). He should be able to throw fenris to space easily. Ironman can take tank shells but gets damaged by falling cars. Also spiderman pushed with near 200 ton force in CW and couldn't get out of rubble and struggeled to lift an elevator in Homecoming.
@nwgzsjuwhm96y2: Iron Man isn’t really inconsistent seeing how he uses different armors. Some armors are better than other armors in certain areas. His older armors focused a lot more on durability and strength and his newer armors are more versatile and accessible.
@thorson: How’s Thor inconsistent?

What street thugs did he struggle with? No one did any serious harm to him, and the only reason he didn't one shot everyone is because of his morals
he also didn't struggle with vulture. Their first encounter vulture ambushed him
the second time, spidey wasn't familiar with his suit, and that obviously hindered him
on the ferry vulture got away because the ferry needed saving.
And the next time they met, Pete knew that vulture was liz's dad, so he didn't want to go against him, but he had to
Because filmmakers want to do different things and they don't care to check to make sure their character is matching the comic vine required power levels consistency.
Probably because they were more pre-occupied and concerned with the other much known threatening members of the other teams, so they didn't gave much attention to him.
@uugieboogie: well i was wrong about hulk too. he can just get angrier
Because Jon Watts and the Homecoming writers are complete hacks who don’t know a thing about Spider-Man and should be prohibited from ever touching anything to do with Spider-Man ever again.
Those street thugs he struggled with could punch busses hard enough to send them flying. The other one had a subsonic to supersonic wingsuit with highly advanced alien weapons. Spiderman is also a amateur hero with big morals. He isnt trying to kill, and he has little experience with dealing with villains. Every movie character for the most part is very inconsistent. You can point out multiple times for every character even some that were in one movie only.
Hopefully he breaks thanos jaw.
lol what
Entertainment. That’s the simple answer. Films like these aren’t written to be debated on battle forums, they are created to entertain.

Woah...
This is the correct answer though
Because the producers are not Comic Viners

Looks like my wish has been granted.

Thanos looks like he's about to cry. Spider-man >> invincible skin
Spider-Man >> Hulk & Thor confirmed

Spidey whooped his ass. It probably didn't hurt him anyway.
Spidey is still very young and relatively new at the job. Of course he will be inconsistent right now. He has much growing to do. He'll become more consistent the older and more experienced he gets probably.
...and also plot.

My bad
you know you would have looked though
@webinyoureye11: It's cool.
Sometimes I look sometimes I don't. I just really want to avoid spoilers. I probably should just log off though. Lol. So it's kinda on me.

Finally the answer I was looking for. Thank you for writing it.
Vulture was trying to kill Spiderman
Falcon and winter soldier wasn't trying to kill superman.
If falcon manage to tag spidey with something meant to just take him out of the building. Falcon could very well have just shot him instead.
I would argue that Spidey is the most consistent one of all the characters.
@gazool: I think so. Not sure though
