Why Dr. Strange never used instant thought teleportation feat in Infinity War like in Ragnarok ?

I wonder why the hell he never used this feat in IW movie. Does it only works in sanctuary or he had special mystical artefact etc. He normally could BFR himself, Thor and book shelf no matter of distance. Once made Thor even falling from stairs. Why didn't he use it or couldn't use this power ?

It a little makes sense because he needed to use sling ring to BFR loki to "falling" dimension or BFR step brothers to Norway
