Is this site dead or what? I come up with good battles like Vermin vs Scorpion or good discussion's like why is a superhero more popular than another superhero but nobody comments and i have to keep bumping it until someone does comment. I feel like quitting this site because it's just terrible battles like DCEU superman punching someone like Thanos and then saying what happens next.
Why does nobody comment on my posts?
Sometimes people don't comment for a while, and then later on your thread might blow up if you keep bumping.
But yeah, it seems to have gotten a little dead lately.
I think one good way to start a good discussion is to look at some tags from other threads that are related to the topics you are making and tagging those people.
So you can now have the thread filled with people who are fans of the same thing you made the thread about.
@richubs: Thanks ill try that next time.
If you like comics and make threads about comic characters then it won’t get traction. These yungins don’t read so they only comment on threads about stuff that can be watched like CBM and anime. Some comicvine
@pipxeroth: What do you mean?

Sad but true
People complain all the time about threads which feature lesser known characters not getting a lot of posts and yet the same people only post in pretty much the same threads. Not saying that it doesn't make some sense, it is natural for a user to be more hesitant to post in a thread featuring a character(s) he doesn't know much or nothing at all about but just complaining about it won't really do much in this case.
@noobmaster2001: Nobody on the site cares about comic battles anymore, certainly not ones using characters most people haven't heard of like Vermin. It's all live action and weeb stuff now.
@pipxeroth: yeah but before people were commenting on battles involving vermin I was just wondering why nobody commented.
@noobmaster2001: at this point the site should just be renamed to MovieVine!
Like people said, live action is more popular because it's a much easier medium to consume.
Also, like you said, people like
terrible battles like DCEU superman punching someone like Thanos and then saying what happens next
Because fanboys gotta think up new ways to wank constantly.
I normally prefer off topic and general discussion threads. Battle threads don't really do it for me anymore.
Because your thread is not DCEU Superman vs The Last Naruto. or DCEU Superman and Doomsday vs MCU Thanos and John Wick. LOL, It's sad, but these days it's bad like that, I've seen good battles never done before, and no one comments those.
People won’t comment if they have no knowledge or interest in the topic of your threads. Other people have already pointed out the types of threads that get a lot of attention.
ComicVine: Complains about how DCEU Superman vs MCU Thor has too many variations.
Also ComicVine: Makes more DCEU Superman vs MCU Thor threads.
Go to VS Battle Wiki you will have a more diverse range in that site. There’s a lot of comic book fans there and staff members alike. But the rules there are different from here.

To be fair, both acts were done by different users. I'm starting to think these MCU vs DCEU threads need to be restricted somehow.
Because no one cares about Comic fights anymore. Its all Live Action.
You can create 100 for the same comic threads involving the same characters and it barely gets up to 50 posts now.
But you create like only 2 of the same typical "DCEU vs MCU" fights involving guys like Superman or Thor and they are bound to reach over 650+ within a week. Thats how ridiculous it is now.
@lan_fan: True, I just find it funny. Everyone wants different threads, but no one’s interested in anything but mainstream Shonen and LA anymore. I personally wish I knew more about comics myself, I just don’t.
If you want people to post on your threads, stick to General or Off-Topic. These two are the last bastions of Comic Vine lol
@firestarlord73194: It's exactly that.
On topic:
I write reviews and blogs about comics and animated movies that I post to Gen discussion all the time and I'm lucky to get more than five comments in a 48 hour period. I spend a while writing those reviews and blogs and the lack of attention doesn't inspire me to write new original content for the site.
Yet, if I was to post something regarding the MCU/DCEU without any effort put into it, I'm guaranteed to get over 15 comments in a few hours. And I hate that. I even got told to post my Comic related content to other sites the other week, clearly forgetting that we're on Comicvine.
People want to read what's popular or doesn't require that much effort from them. Attention spans are getting shorter or people want to talk about the same seven things that have been discussed to death, but with a new thread title.
@babyholdmyhand: You shouldn't have to recommend people to go another site, CV is meant to be about comics and comic movies. People need to start commenting on new content before we hit a dry patch since we won't get a new DC/Marvel movie for a while.

What about now?
People are complaining, but it's been the same way since forever. Just say you don't like what's being discussed.
@noobmaster2001: tough. ALL my threads get popular

I hope you will find teammates who share the same ideas!
