Why does Luffy seem to rarely use Sovereign Haki recently ??

I think these fodder guys are just meant to be stronger than we thought.

Apo is a supernova he isn't just a fodder, the manage to split Kizaru in half that something no one in one piece except whitebeard have been able to do.

And he is using his haki so far in wano he already used it three-time

And he also did use future sight multiple time already

Damn I thought luffy was approaching yonko levels after his training then he almost gets taken out by apoo? How's he gonna beat Kaido like this?

Honestly Kaidou army is too much to be knocked out by the haki anyway.

As for Apoo himself he blindsided Luffy and Zoro got tagged and didnt even know what happened hes got some decent hax

@kgb725: Luffy used Conqueror's haki on 50,000 fishman and didn't affect any of his crew. He has the control to only knock out kaido's underlings. And luffy doesn't care about stealth at this point. That elephant gun he did stands out way more than knocking a few guys out with conquerors would

And apoo didn't "blindside" anyone. Luffy an zoro were facing him head on and both of them didn't use their observation haki (luffy can literally see the future) to see what was gonna happen and stop it b4 it happened (kinda like the previous instances in this same arc). Either it's PIS or Luffy just all of a sudden became dumber after his training.

Are you reading Wano? Luffy has dozens of allies that would be effected if he used conquerors on them. Conquerors doesnt work on whoever it works on weak willed fodder mostly. It's a wide range aoe attack and the straw hats as a crew are strong of course they would shrug it off but that doesnt mean everyone in Kidd's crew or laws crew would.

Luffy was busy fighting someone else when he got hit. Zoro was looking dead at him and was confused as to what happened when he got cut. What good would observation haki do when they dont even understand how they got hit ? Go back to the Katakuri fight to see how useless it is when they don't know what's going on

Katakuri used future sight and still got hit by Snake man it's not perfect by any means

It's a mix between Luffy/Zoro being weaker than you think and the "fodder" being stronger.

And no when luffy got hit with the explosion he was not fighting anyone. Both he and zoro had their attention on apoo yet they both neglected to use observation. Luffy could have looked into the future and seen that an explosion was coming, then he could have used g2 and dodged it (wouldn't be the first time he's out run a point blank explosion, or he could have just blitzed to apoo and attacked. Instead he doesn't used haki at all and get's ko'ed for a bit.

Wheres the proof of that ? Rayleigh used Conquerors on everyone at Saobady and they were all right there and werent effected

Didn't know Apoo had a bear like form. Once again what good would it have done to Zoro if he had known he would get scratched by sound waves if he has no idea how to stop it ?

That bear wasn't Apoo. It was one of the fodder.

It looks like the sound waves hit him then exploded. Luffy should be fast enough to dodge something like that especially when he can see the future (or maybe Wano is just different cause there is that thing with him not being able to catch someone running 200 km/h). I don't see how this is any different from him having the slime stuck to his body.

@blueshoecant: Anime has BATMAN throwing luffy down to earth after tanking his armament pistol. Gifters are above luffys conquer haki.

With regards to apoo, I feel we will see Apoo DF has a gimmick (kinda like Brooks music MAYBE?) I'm expecting Kid to do a little exposition about him. And Apoo IS worst generation, no reason to doubt he isn't Luffy/zoro/kid's equal.

Future sight can be written off by luffy not being able to focus due to the music, multiple opponents, or anger for Tama.

The eyes rolled back exploded Luffy panel was a bit much, I'll agree with that. But I dont think ANYONE took too much damage in the latest chapter.

Anyways, this is far from the worst thing Oda pulled in wano. BM amnesia was more poorly written than anything else and Kidd jumping on Luffy bandwagon was rushed wayyyy too fast.

Perhaps give it a couple chapters more before deciding your opinions on it.

As for future sight, didn't Katakuri say you need to be calm to uses it? Luffy was pissed.

@kgb725: By looking into the future and seeing what's going to happen and stopping it from happening. That's literally the whole point of him learning the technique in the first place. What if it had been a lethal attack? Him not using his ability could have gotten him killed there.

Tell me why did Katakuri still get hit by Luffy when using future sight if it's so perfect

@kgb725: I didn't say it was perfect. But it certainly is better than doing nothing. And Katakuri only got hit when he wasn't using future sight, or when the attacks suddenly jumped in speed. Unless suddenly luffy can't replicate what he easily did in punk hazard, the speed of the attack should be nothing for him. I'll just attribute this scene to luffy going potato for the sake of the plot.

@argevil4: You just admitted I was right thank you. How do you know how fast the attack is? Especially considering it bisected Kizaru? Pretty sure Luffy cant use it when hes angry and it would still be pointless to use

@kgb725: It's kinda impossible for an explosion of that size to be faster than the explosion luffy dodged previously. And the attack propogates through sound waves. Had luffy looked into the future and seen what was going to happen he could have dodged the waves(that is if we're still going with him being super sonic).

And if something on the level of this makes him unable to use future sight then the ability is completely useless as he'll never be able to make use of it in more serious fights.

Not sure what to say about the whole thing but I'm surprised, sound powers are really capable.
