Why does Gen. discussion seem to be oversaturated with battle discussion related topics?

A lot of Gen. discussion topics on the front page often seem to be related to battle forum topics such as how fast, strong, durable this character is. Other aspect include lifting strength or asking question about how powerful a character is in order to gauge a consensus from the general group before the OP decides to create a battle thread. It just seems like the Gen. discussion section is being low keyed use for battle forum related topics.

People only post on Gen discussion to complain

Nothing wrong with that. If someone put it in battles, then everyone will say it's not a battle. And these threads aren't the most of GD threads.

Been wondering the same thing lately. Maybe they should make a sub-section in the Battles where they can talk about stuff like this.

Although I'm afraid if something like this happens, the activity in GD will drop considerably.

Because the Battles forum is really the main reason people come to CV.

Honestly I think it could just be accidental. I’ve done it before forgetting to switch over to the Battle forum.

@magian: I think that's a good idea. The Gen. discussion is looking more like a battle forum section than an actual Gen discussion with a wide range of topics.

MCU VS DCEU...Even though this is Gen. discussion...

I prefer Off Topic sections.

I came here for battles.
